V limiteds started in 1995 to celebrate winning the WRC, The V limited came in WRX & STI RA versions. There were 1000 WRX V-Limiteds built. Special features were- A Aluminium plate with the serial number ??/1000 Gold painted STI 5 spoke alloys ABS brakes Green tinted glass FIA emblem on boot STI seats with FIA emblem on backs. Came in Sports blue, feather white or black mica. 260bhp standard. The STI RA version was limited to 555 cars & only came in Sports blue. Special features over standard Ra: Aluminium plaque with serial number ??/555 Had all the electrics as HiSoob mentioned FIA emblems on boot FIA emblems in seat backs & also had Colin McRae & Derek Ringers signatures embroidered on them. Green tinted glass. 280bhp standard. The V limited version has been kept through the years/models with limited numbered runs all being a bit more special than the standard STI's.

<< So nope there's not really anything that annoys me - apart from people flashing their lights at me on the A9 thinking that my full beams on - AND IT'S NOT! >> Well if you'd put normal bulbs in it wouldn't happen J

Another vote for no rear wiper, never had one on the wrx either No electric fold in wing mirrors, jap ones do Wipers lift above certian speeds No boost gauge as standard Agree with Andy about folk trying to take you on Yep Stephen dip headlights are not the best But would i swap it for something else??? NOT A CHANCE I love the car to bits, still get a smile looking at it & a HUGE driving it. These are only minor grumbles i mention, not problems.

The 3 Travel Lodges are all very easy to find of the A9.

All depends on how insurance companys view the car, if it is the uk300 you have was it not model approved? or is it classed as a modded WRX by Subaru? Wondering as the WR1 was model approved & insurance companys have it on their databases as a specific model of Impreza & it being a standard car as it came delivered with all the bits ie Prodrive exhaust, PPP etc fitted. The uk300 should be the same i thought? Does it not come delivered with PPP, Prodrive exhaust fitted? I was quoted cheaper for WR1 than a STI with PPP from every company i called as they saw the STI as a modded car with a performance upgrade. Differance ranged from £200 - £300 more for the STI Why is it just the exhaust your insurance company is bothered about? & not the whole PPP package? Gee

Myself & Jacqui(Miss Scooby) will be going. Allways go to this, Probably the only motorsport event where we don't have a long drive to get to as it's on our doorstep Not sure if Jacqui's brother will have the car entered this year yet, fingers crossed As Gus mentioned there is a couple of Travel lodges but i would book quickly if you are planning there as this is where most of the rally crews stay & will be fully booked very quick. Most of the stages this year are North of Inverness, they are not going down the Loch Ness side this year so there will be less of a trek between stages.

New back box on Wonder what the Inverness police sound meter will make of this LOL Sorry if it's a repost.
-
Woops Soz never noticed i was looking at the car not the guy lol
-
<< Thats a quick motor. Very nice indeed. LMAO at the guy's spec's tho, are they for real? >> Yes they are for real. It's a built by a Japanese tuner company called Mines, one of the big names in Japan.

I had 1 of these on my old bugeye WRX, lovely piece of kit, looks & sounds amazing, nice shape & top welds Deep burble on idle that grows to a huge roar on boost. It's prob the best sounding exhaust there is for a scoob (my opinion) Your neighbours will grow to hate you Lol. Be aware it is VERY loud!!! Not on my own pc, or i would have put up a couple of pics & think i've still got some sound clips. Gee

Excellent video but cuts out before end of race don't know if others folk are the same???

Fastest recorded time so far is 6:12 in Nissan fairlady race car (350z) around 720bhp with a big off during lap! Edited to say using joypad not a wheel.
-
Know of this car it's a guy from Inverness who has it. It's a very clean car, i'm sure those are older pics looks a lot better with the wrx kit now on it. As far as i know it's well maintained & has had a fair bit spent on it tidying it up.

<< << Do factory figures count as i've never run the car on the strip? If so that'll put me in a 8th equal with 12.8 Gee . >> << Fia 17 - Sorry Gee factory figures don't count as the sprint could be on a slight downhill course. >> Lol Didn't think you would let me on list Peter but was worth trying BTW It was Prodrives course Though one of the boys on Wr1 forum did get a 13.1 on his 1st ever run up the strip so the 12.8 is in reach. Gee

<< Do you think thats sampled or actually done on the throttle? I read about it Here Very >> Dunno some bits do but the easier bits don't. Either way think its Maybe if i start practising now i might manage Jingle Bells in key Flat Four in time for xmas
