  1. Peter - Thats one of the reasons i had to do something about it, i genuinely was struggling to see at times but couldn't be bothered listening to the squeak so continued anyway!! I'm now officially squeakbuster (or superlugs)
  2. Cheers mate, Thats what i was planning on replacing them with but then i read something and got all confuzzled!
  3. What size would you guys put on a bugeye - I'm sure i've seen people say 215/40/17, its 215/45/17 on my car, is this right? There is a shop on e-bay that sells 2 t1-s tyres for £125 including delivery, apparently you can phone for a price for 4 which will be slightly cheaper.... I'll try and find it again and post the link it anyone is interested, Cheers Chris
  4. lol, maybe i just have supersonic hearing or something, that would explain the "can you hear that" conversations when the response is mostly "what?"
  5. Thats the 3 squeaks / rattles i had in the car when i got it all sorted now.... Beginning to think i have a major screw loose! lol
  6. Good Luck mate, employment procedures are so stringent and sacking someone is a seriously risky business if you don't follow every protocol to the letter. By the sounds of it there is no way they have, Hope it goes / went your way!! Chris
  7. What a saga..... Despite my initial efforts not working i continued to persevere due to my sanity being at stake. Cleaned the window with vinegar, then re-done the rain-x - Still squeaking. After enrolling an assistant i try putting the wipers on with the drivers blade lifted off the screen, no squeak, jus as i start to think it is definetely the blade as my brother puts it back on the screen we both realise a slight squeak before it actually touches. Next plan is to oil all the mechanism..... Still squeaking. Then i remove the wiper arms thinking it is the spring on the back of the mechanism and soak that in oil - Still squeaking. On Saturday i set out to clean my car but decided to have one last shot at it and ended up dismantling most of the mechanism after removing the seal and plastice cover that goes over the motor etc. Half way through oiling everything i realised there was quite a bit of play in the whole mechanism, when i investigated further i realised there is a bolt which holds one end on by going through the "firewall" between the engine bay and cabin, on the other end of the bolt there was no nut!! I didn't have anything to hand that would fit so i put everything back together and hey presto the squeak is gone anyway, i removed the bolt and forced it back into place as its held by a rubber gromet and i think its enough to hold it just now. I'll pick up a nut at the weekend though..... Now i don't have to drive along without being able to see anything anymore as i just couldn't handle the squeak! "Sorry Mr Officer, couldn't see as my window was covered in rain!"
  8. Have to agree it was a superb car but why didn't the stig do a lap!!!?!?
  9. What time did this wrap-up last night, i was being kind n doing taxi for my gf, sis and bro on their xmas nights out and i passed there at 12:30 and there was still a few cars left!! Thought it woulda finished way earlier...
  10. I may well be interested in this!! Likely to be around £35 then.... ?
  11. In work jus now so i can't go to the link, really don't want to either.... I can imagine what it is and it completely makes me sick, as an animal lover i genuinely believe these people need to get much harsher sentences.
  12. If it were me i would go for mild tints on everything apart from windscreen (obviously!) Just my preference though!
  13. Sorry to hear it mate. Been keeping an eye on the mods you have done / planned out of curiosity having recently bought myself....
  14. Stephen, I would potentially be interested in this as well!
  15. Cheers mate.. Looking to do this in the new year, would most likely go down the route of just getting them to fit it as well.. Chris.
  16. I would prolly recommend giving him a call to advise what you are doing as if he says he won't go down the route of paying for it you really want to kick off the lengthy insurance process ASAP.. Don't let him away with it!
  17. Alright Derek, How much were you for the downpipe? (if you don't mind me asking) Did they fabricate it or did you supply it? Cheers Chris
  18. Thats sh*t mate, as previously said i would give him a call tomorrow morning, explain the damage and that you think it will be in the region of £100 to fix and as if he is happy for you to get some quotes..... Hope it gets sorted ASAP...
  19. This may be a dumb question but what is the huge difference in gauges.... On a mildly modded car will it really be noticeable?
  20. What time is this likely to be at? Was hoping to make it along to the next one but got a couple of things on tonight......
  21. Good man! I'll await your PM....
  22. Some people.... ALMOST feel bad for laughing!
  23. Looks better with that colour, overall though i still prefer it without the graphics... Looks good tho, always liked them....
  24. Perfect, slightly more burble than the stock system though?? Giz a shout if your selling the BB, not planning on fitting it jus now but if its at a decent price i may be tempted to store it When you de-catted the downpipe did you feel a noticeable difference?
