  1. Alright Mate, The glasgow auto-image certainly do pretty good deals on tyres so i imagine the edinburgh branch would be the same. Most people seem to airing towards Toyo T1-r's, not sure about that size for them but anyway, I'm looking at the end of Feb for new tyres and i'll either be going to Toyo T1-s or T1-r's if i can stretch my cash a bit..... For info, the finish on my wheels is absolutely immaculate, had them done about 3 months or so now and there genuinely isn't a mark on them (i'm gonna kerb it soon after saying that now ain't i, lol)
  2. Alright Mate, If your able to get to Glasgow there is a place near St Georges Cross just at the top of the town called Auto Image, its on Gt Western Road. I was £160 for my wheels to get refurbed and finished in anthracite grey (they were gold). Price depends on the finish and also what size of wheels, mine are 17's. The guy i dealt with was called Iain, really decent guy and i couldn't fault them, they also put loan wheels on the car so i took it up for about 20 mins on the Tuesday and then about 20 mins again on the Saturday to get them swapped over, If your interested let me know and i'll get the number. Cheers Chris.
  3. Welcome!
  4. Hillington for me too, hoping to make my meet debut soon and this is def closer!
  5. Not really that far too falkirk, would def rather go somewhere that have a good reputation even if its slightly further, £50 ain't bad, was expecting worse, On a 2001 car with 25k miles is this likely to make a difference to the feel of the car, this would really just be a bonus as my main concern is the uneven tyre wear. Cheers Chris
  6. Any suggestions of where to get this done in the Glasgow area, what price should i expect as well....?
  7. Hi All, All four of my tyres (well three as one was a cheapo replacement when i bought the car) are getting to the very limits of legality, as such i'm planning a new set in about 6 weeks once my bank balance recovers from xmas.... On Monday i was fitting my new back box and i noticed from under the car that the insides of my tyres (mainly rears) and pretty much bald, def a lot worse than the outer edge. Just wondering what advice anyone has as to what i should do before putting the new tyres on as i'm concerned that it'll scrub the new ones down on the inside quicker as well.. Cheers Chris.
  8. Yeh i'm already planning next years mods never mind this years.... on the plus side i'm planning mods on this car yet i'm normally thinking bout changing cars! T1-r's in Feb De-cat up and down pipe in April Maybe squeeze a re-map in by the end of the year!
  9. Did you see the silver classic up at Drumchapel around lunchtime?? I seen it leaving there about 12:30 (roughly)
  10. Alright Folks, Changed the BB from the standard twin pea shooters to an STI box today after buying it off Bing.... Before WRX1 & WRX2 After STI1 & STI2 Well chuffed with the look, slightly burblier although not hugely so, no diff from inside the car anyway, Cheers Chris
  11. Lol, amazing what some people fall for! "do you want us to install a transmission" followed by "do i need one....!"
  12. Welcome!
  13. Cheers, Had no idea it was on!!
  14. Nah, no de-cat.... its still got all 3 at the moment (not for long mind) Is it possible that maybe a gasket or something is away on one of the exhaust joins? Although if it was most noticeable around the engine bay surely it would be one of the first gaskets and as such i would notice a power drop due to lack of back pressure (may be talking rubbish here!)
  15. Alright Folks, Last night i was driving a long to my gf's mum's and when pulling up outside the house i got quite a strong whiff of petrol, since that the smell is coming and going.... Petrol consumptoin seems normal, car is running fine, had a look under the bonnet and nothing visible although i can still smell the petrol in there...... Any idea's, its like someone has it on their clothes or something (but i don't!) Cheers Chris.
  16. Well i managed a pakora on the way home, was sleeping most of the way though.... lol
  17. Well, my advice on going to the pub at 3 is don't start drinking a shot as well as your beer for each round after about 3:30!!! Especially when your a light weight that only drinks about 3-4 times a year, was in ma bed for about 10:30 pretty wasted, great night though and i now have a week and a half off, magic!! Graeme - Whenever anyone talks about the consumption on the scoob being poor i always have a chuckle cos when i work my mileage out to 23 for town work it feels like i musta been driving a diesel compared to the 8, guess its all relative!!
  18. Time up for me, off til the 5th now (jus leavin work) PUB here i come!!!! See Ya
