  1. Amazing what you can pick up from the ol internet wi no hands on experience eh!!
  2. I think for a re-map a pump is recommended (not 100% needed) again much the same for injectors.... mine are only 380's but i'm not sure about yours, maybe 440's..... I know of one WRX running 330bhp and its still on the 380 injectors with a Walbro 255 pump, think i'll go for this route altho nearer mapping time i may ask Andy.F just in case the injectors are recommended. Cheers Chris
  3. Stephen, Think the down-pipe is the most restrictive in general although the up-pipe is a limiting factor on re-mapping as if the boost is too high and EGT's go up the cat melts and goes into your turbo.... I have the same plans as you, de-cat up-pipe, down-pipe, ported OE headers, already got a panel filter and that'll be me for a wee while.... then fuel pump and re-map.....
  4. Something diesel...... cheap??!?!
  5. Thats sh!t mate... Know how you feel, last car was an rx8, had it 3 days when i realised someone had dinged it in a car park or something, scuffed right along the back quarter........ then about 4 months later similar only this time right along the side... So infuriating that people have no respect for other people's possessions........ i have to park on a road as well and it drives me nuts, thankfully (touch wood) so far i've been okay but i know one day i'll prolly find similar damage... hope you get it sorted.
  6. What cat you leaving Ed? Centre?
  7. Good stuff cheers.....
  8. So thats a no then??
  9. Not trying to steal Gus' thunder.... Do you think this up-pipe will fit my bugeye WRX...... Currently standard although planning on this and a de-cat downpipe (not bought yet) Cheers Chris
  10. Thats a real shame mate, i feel for you.... I had my cat put down about 6 months ago now, had only had him for 4 months and i was totally inconsolable so after 15 years it must be really tough.... RIP Sam.....
  11. Defo agreed Ally!
  12. Snow in the south side of Glasgow... pretty heavy altho not lying yet.....
  13. Yep, me too... got a dodgy battery that i haven't got round to changing yet Going into work early today, go out to my car at 6 and open door to start car (so i can scrape with it running).... Car turns over for about 10 seconds and the alarm is bleeping away during this time cos of low batt i guess, sure the neighbours love me!!
  14. Not a blip of snow in Glasgow [] Maybe Today.............. Althought i'm playing 5's later so maybe not.....
  15. Prolly worth getting a full laser alignment and geometry setup done as well if its only the outside edge... My inside rears were wearing and a couple of days after replacing all 4 i got it done at Pro-Grip in Bonnybridge, turned out my rear alignment was pretty far out, defo worth paying £50 or so to get done!
  16. Sounds good, gutted i missed it.... Defo up for going for a wee run on a midweek meet!
  17. Morning All.... Going to work is great (!) Particularly when you drive across Glasgow and every day there is another "incident" that delays your journey, Today's being a bump on the express-way meaning the inside lane was closed off just after the Yorkhill Quay roundabout.... magic!! I hate my journey to work, 12.5 miles yet it takes at least 45-50 mins..... (Grumpy) Chris
  18. For powder coating i used "Auto-Image" on Gt Western Road up near St George's Cross..0141 333 0575.. I was £160 for the 4 wheels going from Gold to Anthracite, job is perfect and they gave me loan wheels to keep me going for the 3 days they had mine.... Only thing i would say is if you phone and they say they will call you back don't bank on it! I phoned them for some tyre prices (about 2months after powder coating) and never heard back, was pretty peeved!
  19. Chris, I thought that, seems like your "plans" come under a lot of scrutiny, suppose people asking questions like mine doesn't help lol.... Bing, You building up an intercooler graveyard? Strange hobby! []
  20. Chris, thought you were going back to standard, now an FMIC...... its all v confusing! You ordered your Spec C yet!?!? Bing, I thought you already had an STi intercooler, ??
  21. D'oh, on the plus side i read something recently saying AA get on average 40 call-outs a day for people putting unleaded in diesels and vice versa..... My gf's car is a diesel and i know at some point i'm gonna put optimax in it! I think they should change to square / circle / triangle nozzles / caps in the cars, obviously expensive especially with older cars etc but.... in the long term.........
  22. I was looking at the S2, very cheap!! Is it GPS based, looked at so many i'm confused now... if so do you have to subscribe to update? Was the unmarked car using a laser detector? Do you have yours hardwired? Just one twelve volt lead i take it? Cheers Chris
  23. Peter.... If i go "offshore" wanna do mine....... lol... Looking good there!
  24. Yeh sorry, Radar Detector is just an "old term" for the general device i'm talking about.......
  25. Chris... They camouflage decals look superb, not a huge fan in general of decals but defo like that look......
