  1. Stunning
  2. Performance - yes It's a bigger engine so will spool quicker and have more power for the same boost. Reliability - depends Only if it was a mechanical failure in your last block. If not the same could happen again.
  3. Personally if I was throwing that sort of cash at a rebuild I wouldn't start with an open deck block. If you're already future proofing I pay the extra for a CDB. If it was my money and I wasn't building a monster I'd buy a used short block and throw it in, far cheaper. Find the cause of the original failure though or you'll need to go through it all over again. I'd start with the mapping on a P1.
  4. Actually, they're not mate. Picture makes them look gold but they're silver. Can't even remember where I got them from.
  5. You talking about these bad boys?
  6. Post up a for sale thread for me Davie
  7. They used to. It was implemented about 3 or 4 years ago but was dropped after a few months due to the fact it was as detrimental to the members as the non members. I.e. a member may have been in the market for a certain used part but the non member selling it not being able to start a thread meaning both were impacted. They did 2 things to solve it 1 - they allowed wanted and general sales to be posted by all users, I believe cars for sale is the only members only section. 2 - They allowed users to become full members for £5 for 10 years. I've been a full member in the past but I'm unable to use any of the perks. I'd like to think that I've paid my dues in other ways with advise, assistance and a loan of parts over the years. Maybe I should charge £1 a time from now on?
  8. Very greasy road at the moment, I'm sure it'll be all the grit that's still lying around. Having to take it easy on the bike just now.
  9. What we talking about here, wrx or wrx sti?
  10. Doesn't have 99 lights either. Its defo an import as it has a rear wiper but as mentioned has a uk front bumper so chances are it's had a front end or be modded and someone has tried to put it back to standard. If the bonnet is original it's a 97 as that was the only year to have that combo dash and bonnet. Tags on the seatbelts will confirm.
  11. Just had a look through my photobucjet account and realised I don't have any decent under bonnet shots if my car. Will have to make do with this.
  12. Outstanding!!! This is fast becoming one of my favourite cars in the SIDC.
  13. I've been off the SIDC scene myself due to heath problems (family, not my own). It doesn't take long to show you whats truely important in life. Don't lie down to it lads, get yourselves batter and back in the game. I hope 2011 is better than 2010 for all.
  14. Lookin good mate. Subtle but still hard as nails.
  15. He ain't good lookin enough for one of them. We have standards you know.
  16. Did they not recover the losses from the third parties?
  17. Auto express reported that a standard r35 has been timed from 0 - 62 mph in 3 seconds. Not bad.
  18. So what will you be going for then?
  19. Who's up for some of this in the snow?
  20. Imagine? No need to imagine as we got along quite nicely without them until the 90's. I for one think they should remove speedos for all cars. bikes etc. I know what speed is safe for the situation I'm in (yes sometimes slower rather than faster) but see peolple traveling at inapropriate speeds all the time, even when they are within the limit. The law should be around quailty of driving but as that is impossible to police without more traffic officers we will never see it. BTW, you know this thread is 6 months old.
  21. Are you going to modify it? If so buy on condition and turn it into whatever you want.
  22. Are you sure they're all Subaru's? One or two of them could just a regular hot hatch with a misfire.
  23. As Johnny says I used to use a Dianese Ergon which looks amazing but was getting on in years so I replaced it with an Arai Vector Camo. I wear it every day so don't notice how amazing it is any more but it really is outstanding. It's true that I wouldn't wear anything else now and for a commuter the pinlock is an absolute godsend. If you're on the fence about buying one just get it.
  24. As the guy says Oh my GAWD!!!!
  25. Pictures required. Part exchange considered?
