  7. I needed waking up myself as it was getting boring by the end of the day. The only thing that kept me entertained was the wide variety of excuses. Don't get me wrong they seem like very nice everyday cars, might get one for the Mrs next year. The reason I added the hopefully is the same reason my car hasn't turned a wheel or had the bonnet lifted in 6 months, family issues. I'll not go into it but unfortunately I've had a lot on my plate recently and the car comes a long way down the pecking order. Hopefully I'll give it a wash (doubt it), fire it up and be back to kick butt along with Chris next year. Moan the scoobs!
  8. Is that the one I beat all day that last time I ran? Genuinely unsure as I lost count of the number of gt-r's I'd humped by the end of the day When the car see's the strip again it should be a match once again. Hopefully.
  9. Break failure is never a joke but if it happens at 137 going over the line a crail then you did well to keep your feet dry. The car surely has a ten in it and if your luck changes you'll be knocking them out at will soon enough. Would love one myself but simply haven't been able to spend any time on the car lately. We'll have some good battles next season I'm sure.

  12. This may sound like an odd question but have you had to rewire the fans recently? Also, why did you change thr stat?
  13. Is there a damppatch under the car. No patch, water loss and overheating sounds like head gasket failure to me. Why did you change the hoses in the first place, if they burst that could be another sign due to a pressurised water jacket.

  15. Just had my first look at the new site on my mobile and I have to say it looks great. It's a cut down version but everything you need is there and I'd rather have it look at bit basic rather than take 3 minutes to load a page. Well done guys.
  16. Can't really believe what I'm reading but having went through the NASIOC thread it's hard to argue with the facts. As some people may know I have an Axis built motor in my car and based on the product and the support I got from Ron I always spoke highly of him and his work. In fact when Graeme asked me about buying from him I said I would do so myslef if I ever needed another engine. I understand Ron may have his own problems but there is no excuse for this sort of behaviour. If indeed there was no accident and this was a premeditated plan then that is inexcusable. G.Mac - I feel for you mate. Do what you can to recover the money, speak to the police and above all don't let it put you off your car.
  17. This is what I was referrong to. 2 pumps feeding the rails I'd have expected but I'd have thought a single lift pump would have been plenty. Chris, I've had 8's ever since I went rotated.
  18. Chris, surprised to hear you need two lift pumps, I would have thought one would have been enough. The plug change is overdue to be honest as I assumed you already had 8's in there. Looking forward to seeing this one finished (and then beating it like a ginger stepchild )
  19. The price is good but I prefer the dyno at Dalgety Bay as they run the car down to get the transmission losses. Doubt I'll be attending so not asking you to move it or anything.

  23. Non STI are all steel. Cant think of anything that would foul the bonnet of the top mount was out of the way. I just left mine looking standard but confess I did think about changing it.
