I wonder if they're buying direct from Japan and just ordering when they get an order! Not good for fast delivery, but if the prices are kean, perhaps that's why. Shouldn't take long anyway - I get things from Hong Kong sometimes, and it's only a week or less usually. Fingers crossed!

You should get it for the price shown when the order was placed, but it sounds a bit like they had wrongly priced it is possible they won't honour it. Not good for public relations if they don't however, as the last thing they want is an angry squirrel on their case !! They certainly shouldn't charge you the full price without confirming with you however, so you shouldn't have to worry about that - I think they'd be on dodgy legal ground if they did. Are there no contact numbers?

Ferodo DS2500 are my favourite all round pad. They don't squeal like the mintex do, are ok when cold and great when hot (and don't overheat too much in my experience). Changing the fluid is always a good move too, and if you're doing that you may as well fit braided hoses too!! All depends on budget though obviously! Suddenly a £150 job turns into £300!! Can lend a hand with the pad change too if you get stuck. It's pretty easy if you've got the tools.

Ah, but you can learn garage experience. You can't learn enthusiasm and personality! [] ..... and don't sell yourself short on your general garage/car knowledge. You know a lot more than some blokes I know!

Pathetic list compared to some of you, but I went for quality not quantity !! - Renault 5 Gordini Turbo - Mini 1275 GT - Vauxhall Nova 1.3 SR (with 2.0 twin-cam transplant ) - VW Golf MK2 Gti (8 Valve) - VW Golf VR6 - Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type R (V5) - Skyline R33 GTR V-spec (still got) - Subaru Impreza P1 (still got) Hard to pick a favourite out of them to be honest, as they were all great in the own right.
