5p a litre is better in our pockets than Shell's though if you ask me!

The P2 certainly looks nice. Looks like a good show this year. I went down to MPH05 and it was ok, but not really worth the trip to be honest. This looks a bit better though. I'll possibly head down, but don't know for sure yet. Dave

I remember someone mentioning £40 a wheel from Autoimage in Edinburgh a while ago as well. The Glasgow and Edinburgh branch may well use the same company to do the refurb. HTH

Are these anthracite? Any problems with rubbing? Dave

SIDC 2006 REGIONAL TEAM KARTING WITH SCOTTISH SCOOBIES MEET
dave_morgan replied to Gumball's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Ok, ok, I'll pick this one up. Looks like about 48 names, so looking hopeful for a definite event here. I'll contact Raceland tomorrow to check the date and then post up a new thread for everyone to confirm they still definitely can do it. I'll then PM my address so you can all send me payment. The final price will depend which event we decide to go for, which depends how many people we end up getting. It will either be £40 (if we get 40 or more people and can run an endurance race) or £47.50 if we get 16 or 32 (for a Super GP race). If we don't get enough to run the endurance, it will have to be exactly 16 or exactly 32, and this will be worked out on a strictly first come (ie paid) first served basis. There's a great list here, so we should be able to get an endurance sorted, which is a lot easier to work on from a points perspective. If you have freinds/family/workmates who fancy it, we may well open it up as I want to make sure we get a great turn out here. Gummy also mentioned chipping in a little extra to buy the Edinburgh team, I mean the winning team lunch. Sounds like a great idea to me, but I'd appreciate if someone else could step in and organise that side of things? Also, any suggestions about how much we should chip in extra would be appreciated. £2.50 extra would give us around £100 probably, which would be pretty decent, but maybe too much?!?! Suggestions please. I'll post more info tomorrow (if work isn't too manic!!!) Oh, and Happy New Year y'all !! -
I was offered one year or two year, so I imagine you'll be offered the same. Can't remember the exact costs, but I think it was about 2/3 of the 2 year cost.

Anyone looking for furniture, a bed or a fish tank?

Boxers ???? Pah !! Need about 30 pairs to cover it !!! -
I got the extended warranty specifically for the P1 because of it's reputation for the engine gong bang, so I agree it could be a worthwhile investment. However, if you intend to modify ANYTHING on the car, get something in writing to say it won't invalidate the warranty. Common sense doesn't prevail here !!
-
I personally wouldn't take it. I took it on my P1, and then when I tried to claim for a blown head gasket, they wouldn't honour it because I had a dump valve and a samco hose. No way that could have caused the problem, but it seems they will use any excuse to invalidate the warranty. Not impressed at all !!! The parts were on the car months before I renewed the warranty and it had had 2 services with the parts on. I then renewed the warranty through the garage who did the servicing, who didn't say a thing until I tried to claim for the gasket (another 2 services later). All in all it cost me 600odd quid for the warranty, probably around a grand in servicing (as I took it to the dealer for the services to avoid any 'complications' if I did need to claim) and I ended up needing to pay for the head gasket repair myself anyway. Seriously lowered my opinion of Subaru and has made me think again about my next car! If you want more details, I have them on a website or PM me.

No pics yet, buy I'll try and get some in the morning. Can't find my camera at the moment though, so it's gonna have to be from my phone . Have got an external fluval filter which is all plumbed in which I could chuck in I guess. Probably got a heater somewhere too, so yes, I guess I've got everything you need to start a tropical setup. I didn't have a wall the right size in my new place, so I went for a corner tank instead. Watch this post in the morning and I'll see if I can get some pics up for you. Dave -
p.s. Skyline would definitely be the best option if you mix that into the equation too.... just so happens I know of one for sale if you've got the balls ??

Anyone?!?! -
Driving will probably be very similar in reality. Go with whatever one you think looks best, sounds best, and has the best image. I know which one I'd choose, but it's really down to whether you enjoy taking it from behind or not !! No flat 4 rumble from an EVO

French dresser could be snapped up for £50 if anyone is interested. Solid wood - no cheap MDF rubbish here you know !! -
Perhaps a bit of a sweeping statement, but my thoughts about a lot of the police force is that they're just power hungry no-bodys who have such a dull life they have to get their kicks by stamping their authority on any situation they can. Unfortunately a lot of us are easy tagets, so we get it. Much easier to stop someone for 35mph in a 30 than it is to catch and arrest someone for dealing drugs or burglary. Not true for everyone in the force obviously, but enough to give them a bad reputation in general.
