I have 4 P1 alloys spare, but they have 'track' tread on them, so not strictly street legal. I think 2 might scrape though an MOT, but the other 2 are closer to slicks than street tyres. I'm in Edinburgh if you want a look.

But as Brian says - relatively cheap entertainment really. If it costs an extra tenner a week on Petrol with all the increases - that equals £500 per year. Not really that much when you compare it to the other costs of living these days. You probably lose 10 times that on depreciation if you buy a new sub Dave

Paid 101.9 for Optimax at the Forth Road Bridge last night !! Was hoping to make it back into Edinburgh where it may have been slightly cheaper, but the light came on somewhere in Fife so didn't want to risk it. Also spotted it was 99.9 for normal unleaded in Grantown on Spey on Sunday. Shocking !! I think I'll import a Viper and convert it to LPG. You may only get 10mpg, but at least the 'g' is a lot cheaper and even if you lose a few lb/ft of torque, there's plenty left to play with !! Dave

Don't know about your first question, but there are quite a few good routes for second had parts. 1) Post in the wanted forum here, as there's a good readership and a lot of us have got spares lying around doing nothing. 2) Try an online parts locator who will send out requests to a network of yards if you don't find the part online eg http://www.carparts-uk.com 3) Try Glenburgie up in Forres. Good selection of spares at reasonable prices (www.glenburgie-subaru.co.uk) Good luck! Posting on this thread would probably be a good plan too, as you might get some local replies so avoid carriage costs etc. HTH Dave

Cash is tight at the moment, so it's on hold. I'm doing some odds and ends to the car at the moment while I decide what course of action to take next. Legal action is possibly the next route but I don't want to discuss on here for obvious reasons.
