I have to say, I'm with oilman on this one. Why go for a thicker oil if you're getting the protection you need from a thinner one ? You're just working your oil pump harder to get it pumped around and creating more friction for no benefit. Unless you're regularly running at high temps, it seems a bit pointless to me too. Everyone is welcome to their opinion however. Personally I run Motul 15/50. If it's good enough for STi, it'll do me !! (if I was in the highlands, I would probably drop to a 10/50 or 5/50). Dave

<< Ok, During the big sell off of my scoob bits, someone bought item/s and paid by cheque, this initially cleared but then after a couple of weeks I was informed it had bounced and was returned to me with the stamp "refer to drawer". >> I find it scary that they can do this! I've heard about it a few times recently and can't work how a bank can clear a cheque, and then effectively unclear it later!! Surely in this day and age they can tell whether the money is there or not pretty much instantly! Good news that the buyer is offering to send the money through though - at least they haven't completely disappeared.

C'mon people - invite anyone you think might be up for it. Would be great to have the full 32 drivers out. If I don't have 32 names down by Tuesday I'll need to book it up as 16 person event, and only the first 16 payments received will be on the list.
