That story is so full of crap it makes me sick. - Has to practise driving at high speeds ??? If he wants to practice driving at high speeds - do it on a track like the rest of us have to! - It was safe because the roads were deserted ?? It wouldn't take long to catch up a granny in her fiesta trundling along at 55mph at that kind of speed. - What would have happened if a tyre had blown out?? No amount of advanced police driver training can save you from that one - luck is your only hope !! - Why can they get away with endangering OUR lives when they're the very ones saying we shouldn't do it !! Doesn't make much sense to me ! Gets right on my goat this kind of story !!
-
Oh..... Name and shame the supplier too, as they shouldn't get away with that !!

I'd clean them up best I could and try and sell them as is. If no luck after a few weeks, rethink and check out refurb costs. I refurbed a set of Alleycats myself once and it wasn't that bad a job. Just flaked off all the lacquer, rubbed down with fine wet'n'dry and sprayed over with wheel lacquer. None of the painted surfaces were marked, so it was just the bear alloy I needed to work on. They came up better than new IMHO !! All depends how much time you've got spare and if you can be ar5ed !! I would think they'd sell pretty easily as they are though to be honest - give it a bash and see ! You could always p/x them against a Skyline ??!!?? Dave

Hoping to make it along for a flying pint, but if I do make it will only be for a short visit. Packing up my house is taking a lot longer than hoped and I'm running out of days before I move out!!!!

Bookcase and wardrobe are provisionally sold, but everything else is still available. Any interest ?? Ian - what did the boss say about the bed ? Dave

Fast approaching house move is forcing a lot of furniture to become homeless!! Is anyone interested in any of the following.... - High level single bed. Ideal for kids room, or any bedroom short of space. Metal framed, with integral desk underneath, and matching chair. - Fold down chair/bed - matches the above bed and looks like a confy chair, but folds out to a single bed. Again, ideal for a kids bedroom if they're at the 'having friends staying over' stage! - Pine wardrobe. Nice quality, double door wardrobe, with 7 drawers down one side. - Pine bookcase - matches the wardrobe. 3 shelves I think. Probably about 4 foot high (will measure later). - Dark pine, king size headboard. If your headboard is showing signs of wear from being banged against the wall - here's your solution !! I'll try and grab some pictures later, but noting your interest now will encourage me to get my finger/camera out quicker! All open to offers but obviously suit a local buyer as it's all pretty big ! 'fraid so !! Actually quite a good laugh ! (honest)... some pretty nice mums there too !!! -
I don't understand why companies contiunue to use Parcel Farce when courier prices are so reasonable now. I'm sure 99% of bad feedback on ebay is due to them, nothing to do with the items/people themselves!! Offer still stands if you want my 4 pots Ian. Dave

Welcome aboard mate. Good to hear you're attending the meets already. Probably see you at one of them at some point... Dave

<< Yes, Dave, but guess what, I'm in London again, back Friday night, but got a Taxi to Edin this time, can I give you a call at the weekend. ---john--- >> No problem - just making sure you still wanted it !

I think the lotus is THE card, although the VX is also pretty rate by all accounts. Might pop in for a few more tonight I think...

He must have found the minger who enjoyed being chatted up !!

<< ???? Can someone explain for the thicko in the audience please!!!! >> Shell occasionally run an Optimax promotion where you have to collect cards with various car on them. If you collect cards with all the cars on them (24 in total), you win a car up to the value of 100k (at least that's what it was last time I think). Generally there are a couple of cars that are rare, and one car that has only one card printed for it. Yo end up with a huge stack of duplicate cards and are convinced you're the only one in the country with 23 of the cards and then get very disappointed when you don't get the final rare card. Rumour has it that the Lotus Exige is THE card this time. HTH Dave

Tinthause at NewBridge are supposed to be good (Ratho or Ratho Station I think). Dave
