98 could be a 4 or a 5. You can tell by the bumper and headlights. It should have the crystal headlights and just one slat below the front indicator. I tihnk there were a small number of 5's that didn't hae the crystal lights, but it shouldn't definitely have the new style numper. And yes, I think all the sti's (of that vintage) have red manifolds.

Were there any rubbing issues on the Skyline, or did they fit straight on. Was the Skyline standard height?

Depends on the model, but you should have also got a wiring loom with it for the scoob. Very simple to fit. You just crawl under the dash and find the wiring loom going to the ignitiion switch, find the plug that matches the one on the turbo timer, unplug it and plug one plug into one end of the turbo timer and the other plug into the other end of the turbo timer.That's it !! (and mount it somewhere obviously) It may also have a boost gauge built in. In which case you can run the vacuum tube through from the engine bay and 't' it into your boost hose. If you're local to Edinburgh I can show you what needs done, but haven't really got the time just now to do the job for you I'm afraid. What model is it? If it's the same as mine you're welcome to come and have a look. Dave
