If you dont mind an old bike, for your first (cos it does not matter if you drop it) the Geeper is well worth a look, GPZ900r, cheep to insure and still a ballistic couch. With me, I have 2 yrs NCB, and my insurance for the Geeper was £116 fully comp with £50 excess, unlimited millage european cover, european breakdown recovery back to home etc etc etc, I called up about 10 days after i took out the cover to ask how much it would cost for the zx10, the said £250 plus a £15 alteration fee with same level of cover and excess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , cheepest quote I could get for the 10 was over 800 quid on its own. moral of the story is, get an old bike (even if its just a frame and logbook) insure it and add a modern hypersports on for much cheepness Graeme

I had had a little tipple that evening, My experience of them was on the bike, ive never been there with the Scoob, they assured me that they had done many bikes and would be able to get mine set up. I didnt like their attitude towards the bike continuing with the run with steam coming out the expansion bottle (GPz's are known to overheat easily), there air supply was woefully inadequate and charged me for 2 hrs on the rollers when I was lucky to have had an hour on them. On one run he was commenting that it was running dangerously lean but continued anyway (with flames constantly licking out the exhaust and the mid section turning blue!!! I also know of a boy who they ripped off when he went in with his saxo vtr or vts who had a cracked block or something, AVA charged the boy a fortune to source and fit a new engine, a mate of mine bought said engine and had it repaired at West of Scotland Engineering for about 150 quid and to my knowledge its still running in the track car they fitted it to I would need to talk to my brother but I think hes got some interesting stories about them also which came to light only after i had been there (when he had his Sierra xr 4x4 with turbo technics conversion) Graeme

Have heard from a few folk that he takes your order then sources the parts, cant say for certain as ive never met the guy or used his service, but from other comments I gather that this is correct. He seems like reasonable value for money if you dont mind waiting Graeme

not sure about chipping, but in terms of remapping you cant get it remapped without going for the Apexi power FC or similar, whereas a 99 onwards car you can get a tec 3 map done (remapping origional ecu) Graeme
