  1. 1 - If your sidelights won't switch off look for the parking light switch on top of the steering column . 2 - Use the search function on the forum before asking the same old question . 3 - The best first mod for an impreza is the exhaust (backbox at least) 4 - Buy a newage 5 - Make sure you get regular quality oil / filter changes every 3 - 4000 miles 6 - Always run the car on good quality fuel - V Power/BP Ultimate/Tesco 99 and add octane booster for safety in an unremapped import 7 - Avoid "chip"ing an impreza - get it remapped by an expert like Andy Forrest (Apexi for classics, ECUtek for newage) 8 - Sell the Newage and buy a Classic 9 - Always wait till the engine is nice and warm before giving it full pelt and let it cool down befrore switching it off 10 - Upgrade your brakes before modding the engine 11 - A VTA dumpvalve isnt really a good idea unless your car is getting remapped to compensate for it. It will momentarily make your car run rich as the ecu gives fuel for air which has been dumped and not recirculated. All you are missing is the gay noise. 12 - Solid rear droplinks and a decent suspension geometry set-up are probably one of the best sub-£100 modifications you can do to a standard car. 13. new ages will undertseer when at the limit 14. If you have a classic get Strutt Braces. The improvement is outstanding! If you have a new age...no luck! loL! 15. Clean out the boost solenoid once in a while and dont fill engine oil right up to max. 16.Go to the SIDC track days at knockhill, you get free tuition from an instructor if you want (plus ensure you wear Cat boots far better that way!!!!) Graeme
  2. Mine are standard STI9 / 10 wheels Graeme
  3. Standard wheels are 17's so they should fit, give me 10 mins and I shall take a pic of mine if you think yours are close!!!! Graeme
  4. Those diving boots look real comfy![] Graeme
  5. Absolutely superb mate. I was there last Friday and am still grinning!!!! Only thing is that its adictivr and you always want more!!! Graeme
  6. I will never get rid of my cat boots!!!
  7. Yup still on the VF35, just headers and a wee map with some altered go go juice from Mr F[] im gonna just sit on my bum and enjoy it!, poss an oil catch can and some whiteling stuff, too expensive to da anything else power wise Graeme
  8. Na, was just me, Peter just came through for a look Graeme
  9. Not sure but I think Greers do a 2.5 conversion for somewhere in the region of 3 to 3.5K
  10. A big thanks for AndyF for another great map last Friday. Just had the car through at Dastek this morning to get on the rollers and I got 370.6bhp and 364.2lbs-ft of torque, not bad considering Andy estimated it to be 375bhp and 365 lbs-ft of torque, you were pretty spot on there Andy Heres a photo of my graph, as my scanner isnt working, will scan them in later Im chuffed to bits is an understatement!!!, totaly different beast on the road now![][] Graeme
  11. SUPERB!!!!, LMFAO Graeme
  12. Another superb compilation of cars there Andy I esp like the grey one playin in the snow!!!![] Graeme
  13. Certanly was a good day out, I have stolen quite a few of your pics as the hard drive I had most of my pictures on died earlier on this year. Heres hoping we can get another run the same when im at home!!!! Graeme
  14. Copy and paste the bottom of the 3 boxes under your picture on photobucket, whe one thats starts off Nice car by the way, best colour!!!![] Graeme
  15. Yea Craig spot on, I think it is because Mr Forrest likes to play things safe, He told me that he couldnt do much more with the injectors as he wanted to leave a safety margin for when it gets colder, thats why I like Andy, he will never knowingly do anything to damage your car. Just phoned Paul at Dastek and im booked in for Friday morning 0830 sharp, canny wait!!!! Graeme
  16. [], we have a different carpark lined up for this year!, see you Sat at the other SIDC, with a dyno printout in my hand, Ok getting thread back on topic( sorry[]), I dont see the point of sticking the car away, that was one of the many reasons I got the scoob, to have fun all year round! Graeme
  17. I thaught it was a squirrel quote after playing in mine with balding 070's last year up in hillington...lol Graeme
  18. I think I remember that quote form somewhere! Graeme
  19. Yea craig the new ages can have boost altered in gear but its not as good as an avcr, the avcr will give you better mid range. I am at a quandry on what to do next as I have maxed my injectors out at 95% duty cycle so not sure I would be able to have much done with an AVCR just now without getting larger injectors (must start watching ebay!) and im also close to the limits of the turbo (still a vf35) best thing about my mapping session on Friday is that I am hitting 1.45 Bar of boost at 2800rpm!!, well happy. For now im not going to make any claims on my expected Horsepower till I have been to dastek , but I recon I shall be pleasantly supprised. Unfortunately I think my engine modding is over as I have reached a point where it is just going to be too expensive to carry on[:'(] so will now look at sharpening up the chassis with some whiteline stuff. Graeme (off to phone Dastek)
  20. Now that would be telling !!!
  21. Shame I wasnt at knockhill, so I shouldnt post my output as suggested by Mr F today!!!!!!!!!!!!, but it made me giggle all the way home from Port Seaton!!!! Graeme
