I would say Hypertech would be your best choice to get your Gauges fitted but cant remember where they are,im sure someone wil soon come along with the answer there. As regards to remap, I would say if you changed your downpipe (along with getting rid of all the cats) you would need a remap. but you would get away with changing the rest of the exhaust sections one at a time and letting the ecu get used to the changes by driving the car off boost for a while before gradualy bringing in the boost. In my opinion changing the downpipe to an open mouthed one changs the exhaust flow so much it would be better having it remaped then to avoid overboosting and other assosiated engine check lights (o2 sensor etc) With you having a Classic, if you were to fit any sort of induction kit (apart from a better pannel filter) you MUST have the car mapped and not drive on boost before the map due to the fact of changing the airflow (if I remember correctly) up to 40% of the airflow getting into your engine can be unmetered by your MAF sensor, leaving you running the risk of melting a piston etc as the car starts to run lean. My recomendation would be to save up your mods (except back box etc) and have them fitted just before your mapping session. I changed my exhaust and fitted an inner wing induction kit to the car along with a couple of other bits, got it mapped and had approx 80 bhp over standard (newage sti) and better fuel economy too!!!!! As regards to mapping as you have a MY00 car you are able to get your ecu remaped with the Ecutec software, the best place in the word to get this done is on your doorstep, by none other than Andy Forrest down at Port Seaton www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk for more info. Hope this helps Graeme

A worthwhile mod to anyone who hasn done it yet, with the springs being progresive, softer on normal driving and firmer when your giving it some beans! And looks alot better too without being too low Graeme -

As ever Scotland has been ignored, Imy I know you have sent stuff in in the past for nothing to come of it Shame Here hopes that next time there will be something more than just a segment in the Santa Cruise report, as if I'm led to believe, there have been reports sent in about the September run, Rolling road day, Crail etc, Graeme (not wanting to sound separatist)

Hello there welcome to the club Get yourself along to some of the local meets, they are listed in the events section. You have a couple of choices, there are Ayrshire meets or there are Glasgow (prob changing to Strathclyde due to the ever increasing catchment area of members turning up) meets held on the first Thursday of the month at Brewers Fayer in Hillington (close to Braehead). As soon as the better weather and later nights come along there will also be plenty of runs to go on. Any pics of the car? Graeme

Am using Red stuff on my 9, and think there an improvement over the standard pads (brembos are dung (not strong enough for the extra weight of the Newage IMHO after coming from the RX8)) At the time I couldnt justify the ferodo's but I know there the dogs danglies, but the Red Stuff are a decent 2nd Graeme

But I like to drink!!!!!...lol never thought that this thread would go on as long as it has as im normally a thread killer!!!!. Lots of good points made but a fair few nonsense posts as well and to Phill I only called this doo doo as lots of young kids look at this and didn’t want to speak my mind and swear to the heavens as I still don’t like it but am getting on with it till hopefully something better comes along.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> And having to scroll along in thread is SO BLOODY ANNOYING TO THE POINT IT MAKES ME WANT TO SHOUT OBSENITIES AT THE FORUM CREATORS AND IMPLICATORS ETC ETC come on get something decent in place this is C.R.A.P (not being politically correct now)[:@] Long live Scottish Scoobies and SIDC Graeme (forum is still dung though!!!!! )

Hello there Greersport ported my turbo along with my standard headers, think the cost was about 240 all in. I would recomend getting a larger wastegate penny installed so the wastegate can be ported out further as im still getting boost creep on occasion (think the cost for this is somewhere between 100 and 150) my max boost is coming in at 2800 rpm in 5th and 6th gears so its perfect for the road. I must admit when I had the gt spec 2 headers installed the turbo started spooling up approx 4 - 500 rpm sooner!!! ps I much prefere my dads old International Harvister B250 to the Fergies (prob cos its not a fergie[]) pps anyone know where i can get a belt drive saw (with pully to suit the B250)for the International, or a worm type PTO log splitter? Many thanks Graeme
