  1. somethings wrong, either springs not seated correctly or somethings loose. Eibachs ( or any spring ) shouldn't make a noise.
  2. Had a good day myself. Nice to meet the old and some new faces today. Peter's car will be sorted in no time. Johnny
  3. Best ones are kyb agx, gas adjustable shocks.
  4. Same for me, although i don't need 5th at all. Some type r's and ra's will use 3rd for the hairpin due to shorter gearing and be grabbing 5th before the bridge on the straight. Another thing, aim for the lights on the bridge when exiting the hairpin it'll give you a staight line over the straight.??
  5. Fingers and toes m8, that'll be just up the road for me...[]
  6. What about BLUE RINSE?? Keep the old fogies happy[]
  7. after changing my suspension i now have this prob, the car is very scary driving hard and pulls to the left. When accelerating hard it pulls to the left then shoots right once the acceleration settles. Going to get the geometry sorted and all will be fine again. I'll be using progrip in denny, good guys.
  8. should be good, not for me though, i know what my car does flat out.
  9. Hi, it's a relatively easy job for all 3 gauges. There are a couple of ways to do the oil gauges, 1 includes using an adaptor plate that fits before the oil filter but i prefer removing the oe pressure switch and fit an extention pipe with t-piece. You can buy the parts as a kit, i'll get the info for you (can't remember off the top of my head) or maybe someone else (Playsatan? coulty?) will beat me to it. Johnny
  10. i got my a-pillar pod from j-w-racing .com
  11. Jesus!! i can't even get 200 miles to a full tank. On track i got 55 miles to nearly 3/4's tank.[]
  12. I use millers crx 75w/90bm, it seems to come highly recommended (£11 a ltr). I know a shop that has some sitting on their shelf if interested. My car only has 300 brake so i'm not putting the box under too much stress.
  13. After the backfire and drop to 0.6 bar does it go back up to 0.9? How is the MAF?
  14. As the rain wasn't heavy it could've been very greasy but i alsways had this prob with my old tyres (falken ze512's) so crap tyres don't help.
  15. For the attention of all attending Dastek on sat.... Myself and Coulty ARE NOT there with playsatan!! He just follows us around HONEST.[]
  16. I rekon colin or wilky for most powerful classic and overall and colin for the loudest. Peter for the most powerful newage.
  17. Harthill's ok for me, playsatan and coulty! (they don't know it yet but i'll be tellin em!!) What time?? Gotta get the playboys car ready first[]
  18. Good news Fee, i know how you must've been feeling, i'm missing mine, been off the road for over a month, hopefuly back on the road sunday.[]

  21. No it won't. Headlights are different.
  22. pmsl.that guy seems to have no car control at all, just lots of damn luck, very clumsy with the controls. I know a lot of people who go to hothatch days and are very talented drivers, embarrassing a lot of much higher powered cars but i still wouldn't take the scoob near em. As for cavvy's i used to have one aswell and loved it but it wasn't one of yir pishy sri's it was a gsi 4x4.
  23. If it's a classic you want get a v5 or 6 type r. If you get it checked out and remapped (if not already) for uk fuel it will be reliable. Even in standard form they are very quick (my m8's standard v5 did a 12.9sec qtr) and come with lots of toys, i.e intercooler water spray, and more importantly dccd. On the insurance side of thing the type r, although not that more expensive that a sti to insure it is a bit more tricky to find companys that cover it (a few dont have it listed). Try a-plan insurance, very cheap.
  24. Doh!! didn't notice you meant smoke from below the water pipe, thought you meant from where the turbo joins the uppipe. Dave, the bracket sits exactly the same on my car and doesn't mine look broken, i think it may just be a space between bracket and turbo. I could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time..lol
  25. Funnily enough my name's john and i used to own a R6, when my m8 was talking about me he'd say johnny with the R6 which eventually became JohnnyR6.
