  1. That is CLASS... i bet he bought it like that off some guy who is now pissing himself laughing. Might try that when the scoob goes...lol Forgot too add... Grant, there was a run of 4 door type r's. They were done by a small company called Honda. 4 door type r scoobs were only available in blue, from wee ned wi burbury cap in easterhoose!!
  2. i've been in the car with da squirrel and when he wants to he can certainly hustle along nicely in the scoob. Wouldn't go near the sprinter though...
  3. Panel filter for you m8, go for the sti one, works well.
  4. Don't do it!! there's too many people getting white wheels now If more people start i'm gonna have to go blue or sommat!!!
  5. Yes it's possible, any wheel can be changed to any colour...if done correctly. Try ESP in glasgow, very good at what they do.
  6. If i try to drive away my timer cuts the engine, you shouldn't be able to drive away.
  7. All the best for 2006 everyone
  8. FANTASTIC!!!! pmsl
  9. driver input counts for a lot, roads are a good leveler, it's easier to keep up with quicker cars on the road than on track or dragstrip. Just look at the runs we do, A wide variety of scoobs all with differing mods and power sticking together.
  10. What a shock, got to know tim after racing him at crail, never got a run in the elise which i was supposed to do. Sad news
  11. Wilky, playsatan can't name his mods yet as we don't know what he's doing yet. He could tell you what's on it at the mo but you prob know. Rest assured it is defo not finished, the engine will be out at some point (prob as soon as we finish coulty's). My car... the way subaru sent it out the factory (allbeit 3" system from turbo) Forgot to add speedline RL7's in white hiding the 2 pots.... all you need for track action
  12. It's a hard one... i like both and no matter what you get you'll love it. I love the sound of the scoob. As for performance, straight line, just as good but the evo seems to have the edge in the twisties. Dunno how that works, as grant says the scoob seems to have the best centre of gravity but in most tests the evo is slightly quicker not that there is much in it. Just ask Bill and Colin. For me,i rekon the evo would be more straight forward to work on aswell, especially if your doing an engine rebuild (don't let playsatan or coulty hear that).
  13. Welcome..from another paid up member:
  14. I remember trying to see what colour petrol was in my dad's bike...with a match, no eyebrows for months....didn't even see the colour it was..lol Still havn't grown up wasn't too long ago that i put my hand onto the tarmac at 140mph although i did have a glove on, or overtook cars which were in the fast lane at over 150. One of the reasons i shouldn't put my bike back on the road.. Not proud of it though.
  15. I second andy's recomendation..a-plan were the cheapest for me.
  16. doug, you dont need a photo of the airport scoob... you kknow what it looks like.
  17. there is a retro car meet at showcase, c.bridge. A few of ue are going there...
  18. This has been going on for years with bikes, they are now giving 3 points and fine to bikes at times. If it doesn't have not for road use, in most cases you can plead dumb (but rarely works) all road legal exhausts (on bikes anyway) have a bsi, or eu equivalent stamp. New race cans come with a removable baffle for track days and i'm sure car exhausts will head this way to. As a rule of thumb if you keep revs down in town and drive at sensible speeds and usually plod will leave you alone. But rev the tits off your car or do anything else to attract their attention and they'll have a good look over to see what they can find.
  19. Moral of the story? next time bring it to me!!
  20. imho, if you use your car on the road..too harsh but perfect for track days.
  21. Nice pics.. today i assissted in the removal of a cancerous tumour from a patients bowel. Just another day at the office...
  22. sounds good to me.. roll on next year.. Any ideas when it will be finished, re-opened for??
  23. That is not the way to run a business, if there was another track running a race series or two in scotland knockhill would go bust.
  24. I agree, got to say a big thankyou to dougster as he stopped me cancelling my membership last night. While talking to him on msn i mentioned that my membership was due for renewal soon and due to all the petty sniping and moaning there has been over the last few months i wasn't going to renew it. He then remindeed me what the club was really about and why i joined it in the first place (track discounts) lol, and convinced me to renew. This is from a guy who gets no (or very little) thanks, and usually lots of hassle from peeps for going out of his way to moderate these forums as best he can. He is also very passionate about his scoobs even though he is having to part with his own. Once again thankyou dougster.
  25. Excellent pics.. you just can't beat the old skool escorts
