As for doing the job yourself, if you have to ask then leave it to someone else or at the least do it where you have support and access to good tools as if you get a seized nut or bolt (very likely on a bloody scoob) your gonna need them. Johnny

An absolutely top day under the circumstances and i'm so glad i made it. I had to fight back the tears on several occasions especially at the momories of Johnny as i have a boy of similar age and they played johnny's, which turns out to be my sons favourite song aswell, life is a highway. Some of the things said have changed my veiw on life especially Colin's saying.. I'm here for a good time, not a long time. Your current brake set up should be ok on the road but as you've said it was useless i would get your car checked out as it should handle and stop nicely as is so something maybe wrong (worn suspension bushes or something). Then, if ok, start looking at upgrading the suspension and brakes. Forgot to add what tyres do you have?? If your running toyo t1r's this won't help. Johnny.

Redstuff are ok but don't last long (didn't for me anyway) yellowstuff are better although the heat they put through the oe discs cracked them. For middle of the road you can't go far wrong with oe discs and ferodo ds2500 pads. Should get this for £200. Johnny

For that sort of money it better be minted, i got a 98 zx6r, mint, 16k on clocks, race can and standard for £1400 last year. cbr's are slightly more expensive but shop around. A cbr 600 would be ok for a 1st bike. Another good 1st bike would be a suzuki sv650, you'd get a newer bike with less mileage for your money, either way you won't be dissapointed with the honda. As for Playsatan's new gixxer... Bargain of the year m8, bargain of the year!!! Pretty quick too...

A standard sti 5 dv is not use as it's bolted onto the intercooler itself, either one from an earlier car or an aftermarket one is what you need.

I take it it's a type r with dccd (driver controlled centre diff). If so it is prob hard to get a full box but may not be too expensive to get his repaired and i know someone with a set of gears for one. PM me and i'll get you the info on the gears and put you onto a couple of good box builders. Johnny

Just my opinion but i wouldn't ppp it. Speak to andy forrest for advice as it doesn't take a lot of money to get the 2.5 up to 400 bhp then you'll be happy.
