  1. Good with fords, crap with scoobs. Fitting a fuel cut defender is easy though so they shouldn't have any probs. Johnny
  2. The same thing happened to me years ago with my (at the time 5 months old escort). A couple parked far too close and the woman tries to get out and whacked my car, no apology or anything until..... I got out and kicked the wing mirror off their car, Bet they never did it again. Johnny
  3. It is m8.
  4. Spot on again Alan. John i've just had a wee, and i mean wee drive in Playsatans car with ppg box and it's pretty whiney??, i'd say too loud for an every day car. (although his exhaust drowns most of it out). If for every day, unless your going over 450/450 as alan said, i'd go for a 6spd forrester boxor failing to find one a 6spd sti box (with matching diffs). Can't remember which year of forrester but i'm sure Alan does. Johnny.
  5. Hope yopu get it fixed soon john. A second hand 6spd as alan say's shouldn't be too pricey and is the easiest fix if your warranty claim doesn't work. Johnny
  6. Had a good day myself even though i wasn't on track. Good to catch up with you all. Hopefully will have mine, and more importantle Playsatan's out soon. Great wee run on the way home aswell with coulty and imy. Gmac, your bike's a cracker, liked the way you could toy with us. Oh, next time wear leathers, your butt is the last thing i want to see pass me.....lol Johnny
  7. Camskill stuff is ok, don't expect them to withstand any abuse but for normal driving they should be ok. I've got black diamond pads in at the mo and iirc they aren't too pricey, no where near as good as yellowstuff or ds2500's but they work fine on the road. Johnny
  8. Screwdrive and hammer Johnny
  9. I'm sure John will clear this up. They used to do this at the hothatch days iirc. You've paid to have your car on track so it shouldn't make any difference if you have a passenger or not. Johnny
  10. All the best in whatever you do scott, you and rosie will be missed. Hope to still see you at the odd event. Johnny (and kids)
  11. As gordy says, don't do it unless you get your car set up for it, the ecu doesn't like em. if you want some noise fit an apexi induction kit. Johnny
  12. Sometimes it's just your luck, you could pay a lot thinking your getting a top notch car and it proves unreliable. Sh@t happens, good luck with whatever you get m8. Johnny Would't mind an evo 6.5 myself...
  13. Grade a were selling new quick racks from a newage. It fits the classic with a little modification to the power steering pipes, easy to do. Johnny
  14. I hope you get a goodun but bear in mind an evo is no more reliable than a scoob (although it sounds like you got a bad un). Even if it's totally reliable they still cost loads more to run and look after than a reliable scoob, service every 4.5k inc. ayc fluid change. The joys of performance cars. In saying that i know a of a guy who got rid of his P1 for a E46 M3 and finds the M3 loads cheaper to run. Johnny
  15. class!! johnny
  16. Thats not all dust, mostly specs of dried in t cut.. Johnny
  17. It wasn't very quiet last week and i have the vid to prove it.
  18. Take it you'll be going quiet then..
  19. I prefer it to the new scoob, been in both and i was very dissapointed with the inside of the scoob, seats are not buckets anymore. The evo looked more extreme inside. That said the scoob does seem to be faster and i wasn't too let down by the exterior. It also is cheaper to look after. Even the sales rep i was talking to admitted subaru are trying to appeal to a wider market. Also the price for the 300bhp evo was advertised at £24995 Think i'll stick with my classic though... best of both worlds. Johnny.
  20. Looking good m8, how's it running?? Johnny
  21. I saw the caterham at the autosport show, it looked bloody quick just sitting there. The engine, iirc, is basically 2 hayabusa engines joined together so it's light, powerful and very high revving. Niice Johnny
  22. boab, check out the coilpacks and plugs, if it's not them give me a shout and i'll sort you with a maf you can try to rule that out. To me it sounds like the coilpacks. Johnny.
  23. Used skidz myself, £250 supplied and fitted for a cat1 toad alarm. over 4years later and never had a prob with it. Johnny
  24. What? you must be as freindly as me...lol There are loads around Law too. Johnny
  25. Most decent oils seem to be fine (millers, valvolene, mobil 1) if you use the correct grade. I used to use mobil1 but it has to be the motorsport as standard mobil1 is too thin (0w/30 iirc). I now use valvolene (as i get it cheap) and found it to keep oil temps lower than mobile1. Johnny
