got the car back now though... still misfiring though BUT more power, more boost 379bhp & 358lbft Still plenty of room left for the switch over to E85 once misfires are sorted. 65% duty at std pressure, 1.7bar peak dropping to 1.45 at 7000rpm or so
-
What gearbox? JDM 6 speed? and if you dont mind me asking... where did you source the EJ22 block, and how much was it (just the block)
-
battery and tow strap ordered (cant use OE tow point with JUN lip and big splitter ) same battery as Skyline - Varley Redtop 15 •Voltage=12 •Capacity=14Ah •Weight=5.0kgs •Dimensions=200x77x140mm •Terminals=M6 male •Cranking current (20°C for 5secs)=400A. and an adjustable TRS tow strap

Looking into the misfire issue just now, hopefully its all sorted. Also had an uprated actuator fitted so its making more power from the outset - holding more boost higher up the revs.

righto... really need to pull my finger out with this car! Got a trackday on the 6th, and I'd love to use that as a test for the new brakes/susp/alignment. Suspension: Just waiting for the EXE TC's to arrive via Lateral. pics of the Whiteline gubbins waiting to be fitted... didnt get any nuts/bolts with them so bought new for droplinks and will use OE for ALK (if they are ok) :| Here are links to instructions, they are from Whitelines website Roll Centre Kit :- http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/Z370_KCA313.pdf Anti Lift Kit :- http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/Z179f_KCA319A.pdf Front Drop Links :- http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/Z321_KLC30.pdf Rear Drop Links :- http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/238_klc26.pdf Diff / Subframe lock bolts :- http://www.whiteline.com.au/instruction/Z200_KSB750.pdf Electrics: Just bought a battery cage for a varley redtop 15, will buy the battery from Demon Tweeks on Monday. I have all the cables and conectors ready to relocate the battery to behind passenger seat. Also have to wire in the cut off and remote cut off switches (not ideal type, but will test to see if it kills engine before fitting i.e remove battery connection). Then.. the rain light which i'll have to read up on as there arent any instructions. Must be simple enough. I'd think the resistor just goes in line with the +ve feed from a switch. Sooo much stuff just piling up to fit to the car :|

LOL... My impreza is in hopefully getting more BOOOST and misfire sorted out.... and the Skyline has lost some more weight... tough decision
-
Coming along Mine is still a tip inside - needs a coat of paint LOL
-
Not going just for the name... been looking for susp for weeks and speaking to folks that have tried and tested various susp on impreza's ... everyone seemed to say the EXE TC's were the setup to go for. I would have gone for TEIN's if I had been left to my own devices (actually more expensive)..... Tein RS Circuit Master (same as we have on the R32 GTR)
-
Oil Cooler arrived Ordered some EXE TC suspension from Mark at Lateral. Custom valved and sprung. New 330mm 6pots should be here anyday now too...

its something i think you have to put up with if you have aggressive pads... My old DS3000's were fun. They only squeeled when cold. They stopped when they hot. No squeeling with DS2500's, XP8's or XP10's so far. Have you tried any copper slip on the backing plates? Are the pads a good fit, and tightly secured with the locking wire/bolts? (dont know which calipers you have)

I'll try and make it along in the Impreza this time

no music version

Knocked up a wee video of some moments we've had on track in our cars. Some tame... some a bit sore! comments welcome, and yes..... some of the crashes could have been avoided with better driving LOL
-
Aye... forgot to say HotBits LOL ScoobyClinic use them (on Kev's TA winning car, Andys LMA car), and DCY had/has them on barries TA evo. *********************** split the old 'spare' engine... did a good job on the bearing on No2. And the main nearig has bearig material welded to it. The rod and cap are a bit out of shape too, they dont slide back together Nothing else really wrong with the engine, crank will be scrap of course. pistons in great condition, bores are ok... no gouges etc
-
anyone use it, or heard of it..... DT2 kit Good/Bad/Ok
-
for some reason i thought your car is / was going to be a drag queen... you planning on doing track days with it?
-
eh? There is no such definate answer... what do you use the car for? If its just road use OE 4 pots (in good condition) and DECENT discs, pads and fluid are more than up to it.

Have you read the thread, looked at pics ?? I'll take your money, but I wouldnt want to rip anyone off HeHe. 1 damper appears to be leaking (not confirmed, could just be mucky), and they are an old non-dampning ajustable TEIN coilover (Sports Spec, Driving Master Type HR). They are actually OK on the road, but my preferences may be different or more tollerable than yours. They are firm, but not crashy. I dont know what the spring rates are but i'd suspect something like 6kg/mm Maybe best to come have a look at them once they are off.
-
mine....? dunno, £100
-
is that jut the 'fast road' spec ones? They come in at about £1700+ vat + topmounts etc

some vids from a very wet KH at the weekend... brrr Vids Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 my spin at carlube Part 4 Part 5 Pics: **************************************************************** Susp - I'll be getting new susp for it in the next few months... I want something decent, and the car is track only so... Circuit focused susp is a must. Any thoughts... I cant afford (or dont want to afford) much more than £2000, within that price range! Other susp parts... I have just bought the following whiteline parts.. Anti lift kit, Roll cantre kit, Drop links front & rear and Rear diff lock bolts. The ALK with give me a bit more castor, but i'd like more adjustabilty still - Anyone got feedback on whiteline control arms?
