  1. as before, prob +1 for either side if we are around and both cars have engines :| Adam - STi IV TypeR Fee - Skybucket R32 GTR
  2. If we are both around and both cars have working engines (doubt the Impreza will be knocking on 400bhp straight away) we'll be up for that. Hopefully low 11's for the Skyline
  3. Whats the standard figure for a typeR anyway? There is a fair amount removed, and still a lot to take out... but the cage will have added a good 40-50kg back in. The grinder and hole saw havent been brought out yet, but they will be. So sub 1100kg is a target Good good - thats at least gives it a chance with the Skyline on paper (power to weight)
  4. yup... Wallace Performance have set the geometry up on both the Skyline and the Impreza. We told them what settings we wanted, they did it.
  5. Morning quick question.... What is a realistic target weight for a stripped out (but with multipoint CDS cage) 2dr Impreza? Its a trackcar, so has no stereo, heating/blowers, AC, trim. The electric windows will be junked for plastics too. John Stevenson and Arch - you may be the best equiped to answer this
  6. think he's changed his plans and is now using it again.
  7. That spin wasnt the cause of the end of our day.... unless stones got stuck somewhere in the engine LOL. Not sure what happened to cause the spin.... dodgy lines and trail braking down duffis LOL Thought you were off the previous lap when I was behind you...
  8. dont think its the bottom end.... Started it up this morning and it was quiet! WTF!!! Gave it some gas and it started to make a racket again, and continued on idle. Sounds like something loose in the NS head. Suggestions on known problems with the heads/valve gear?

  10. FPC - great pics as always! Did anyone get pics of the white 2dr spining down duffis.
  11. good pics shame our boat gave up the ghost early on... It was soooooo slow on the straights too LOL and it all mucky now after my off at the bottom of Duffis
  12. doh..... Car broke at the SIDC morning. Suspect the bottom end but safe to say something sounds loose and horrible.
  13. ready to go.... SIDC trackday in the morning, then off to Brands for TimeAttack Fee's wonky stickers again.... same as the Skyline! Fee will be driving though as she has broken the skyline... seems daft me doing one round, and her missing one.
  14. .... a ****ron that would hump most cars on here round a track, or in a straight line bonkers wee thing.
  15. new exhaust Matching Saltire on the roof Russ' evo got one too!
  16. how'd you do it Craig? move/tilt the engine forward?
  17. 90% at the moment LOL I'm still in Angola for another week or so. steering wheel with quick release boss (ebay special ) Seems to stick a fair distance out, so will have to wait and see what its like. Can easily just revert to wheel on fixed boss alone if its to close to me
  18. Some more pics of the work on the Impreza: Mounting points welded onto the floor: Stitch welding: Door bars being welded in: Rear mounting fully welded in: And onto the main hoop: Dash bar refitted: Turret tie ins: Going back together: The car is actually finished just now, but I've not got any pics of it all back together yet.
  19. not quite an open mouth / true 3" downpipe like the guy on the phone at Revolution said. Whats the real world differences? Is exhaust flow much better with the open neck designs PS - those are Fee's daft fluffy loveheart PJ's. Mine are a different colour
  20. Fee's been busing wrapping presents :|
  21. harness ideally should be mounted on a harness bar, or similar angle, but they'll be ok mounted at the rear seat belt fixing point. but please dont try and use them with folk in the back.
  22. ok, good to know. I may opt for a smaller dish wheel
  23. Looking at a couple of options for the Impreza. I want the wheel a good bit closer to me, and removable to help with getting out due to door X bars, and security I suppose We have a basic Momo wheel and LifeLife quick release boss on the skyline. Whilst its very good, its bloody expensive (£160 odd) Has anyone tried on of those quick release bosses on Ebay? like - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-GC8-P...%3A1%7C294%3A50 Steering wheels - I want an OMP 95mm dished corsica wheel. What are these like to live with? http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/Pro...de=OMPOD1954BLK Also a cheaper 'copy' on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EARS-Suede-Steering-...%3A1%7C294%3A30
  24. not driving the Impreza... but its the thought that counts Fee's write up from Time Attack Round 3 @ Silvertone http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/timeattack/2009round3.htm general page TA page - http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/timeattack.htm She needs to keep the pace up in Qualifying!! Scott (Gambler) is 1 place a head of her in the points table, but she's beaten him 2 out of 3 in the finals! He just out qualifys her and scores points! Doh
