  4. Starting early.... I'm helping KH / KMSC get a list together of folk that are interested in competing. There were a fair amount of Imprezas involved last year, so plenty of competition throughout the Championship. website http://superlapscotland.co.uk/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/SuperlapScotland So.... Whos in? If you are interested in competing please drop a quick email to club@superlapscotland.co.uk or leave your details on here with some basic info - Name, car, rough power/weight. 2015 Class Structure There are some minor tweaks to the classes for 2015 to try and make the classes fairer. Pro: > 450 bhp per tonne A: 351 - 450 bhp per tonne B: 271 - 350 bhp per tonne C: 211 - 270bhp per tonne D: 161 - 210 bhp per tonne E: <160 bhp per tonne Also Team Trophy and Road Car Championships to contest as well as the Class and overall King Of The Hill Provisional dates announced.... 5. Update.. New engine in..... then out again to investigate a strange top end rattle. Turbo off to TD again as its making funny noises..... Dry Sump arrived - will fit when engine issue is resolved GRP doors on, P4P windows fitted oh, also had the car weighed with the doors and glass changed over. Not as big a saving but I did have just under half a tank of fuel in. So about 20kg Total - 1136kg FL -346kg FR - 340kg RL - 214kg RR - 236kg So about 40kg saved I'd thunk as the fuel levels arent the same from last time Bring on the corner Gs!! ZEN dry sump system some new whiteline bits here too... more castor, better front drop links..... also some carbon wing mirrors to save a few more kg ********************************************* another week another story.... I think the newage starter motor has arrived to suit the dry sump tank... so one less thing to hold it up. Heads getting rebuilt at Lateral again... different valves/caps/seats/springs to change out the newage stuff that was installed by whoever built them 2 build ago. Wasnt RCM, but was one of their recommendations. Will retain the old valve gear for Fee's AVCS heads. The difference - the Newage valves are shorter, so I have been running mega sized shims in my STi3 heads, causing wearing on the retainers. This is thought to be the source of the top end rattle that ended my last trackday early. Turbo sent back from Turbo Dynamics, repaired and improved under warranty (thanks to Lateral). The WG mechanisim was sticking... again. It has been replaced by the new inconel mechanism now. ECU has been returned... now upgraded to Alkatek. Need to really read up on its features, but I think its basically a GEMs ecu now.
  6. time table... for both days Live Timing link - http://www.smart-timing.co.uk/Live%20Timing.htm
  7. So.... who's entered/entering? Remember its a best 3 out of 4 for the championship so even if you didn't enter round 1 you are still in with a chance of all the honors Cars can also be Double Entered Round 2 - Saturday 27th July - Clockwise Round 3 - Sunday 28th July - Anti-Clockwise Entry Forms - http://superlapscotland.co.uk/entry.htm Regulations - http://superlapscotland.co.uk/regs.htm This is the current points standings - http://www.superlapscotland.co.uk/championship.htm SLS Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/SuperlapScotland This is the 'Whos In' list from a few months back.... As a guide you could use 10% drive train loss for 2wd and 15% for 4wd. 8. I like my short TypeR box for KH, just could do with a shorter 5th to keep it on the boil The ratios i've found for the 6sp suggest is pretty much the same as the 5sp box I have 1-4, with a shorter 5th and 6th of course. 1st - 42mph 2nd - 64mph 3rd - 87mph 4th - 113mph 5th - 157mph 6th - 202mph
  9. its a TY856WN6KA I cant find any info on its ratios!
  10. I've now got a collection of boxes and diffs 2x R180 1x R160 1x whatever is used on STI UK 6 sp box 2x close ratio 5sp DCCD boxes 1x STi 5 sp 1x UK STi 6sp DCCD I'll just throw in the exact same box for Ingliston as the gearing is FANTASTIC for Ingliston
  11. Qualified 5th out of 20odd, up to 4th... battled with a caterham for a few laps then retired with gearbox problems. Rear ended by an M3 towards the end LOL Was struggling with gears during the SIDC trackday too... very hard and slow to go down gear. Something finally gave up during the race Not angry, just dissapointed as it was a good race, on for a class win. Rear facing footage of 5/6laps of race 1
  12. save weight and make it handle and stop.... power is the last thing you want to upgrade
  13. should have a gearbox of sorts dropped off in a couple of hours So, it could/should be running to some extent
  14. my race was wet, so just stayed on the 888s. Towards the end of that race (after I was out) there was a clear dry line
