  1. if your still stuck i have 4 silvers to make a set LOL
  2. I thought you were going to take off going down the pit straight at Oulton with the plastic windows flapping away Good Luck for KH
  3. good luck andy..... I have 1 question though..... Doesnt it worry you haveing an exhaust in the boot with your swirl pot and pumps. :/ Not sure what the scruiteers take on that will be. Hope you have better.... ****... I hope Fee and you have better luck this time round LOL
  4. question is how long before its faster than the Skyline
  5. nice to meet you Some good times there!
  6. Took it out for its first trackday. More a fault finding exercise to see what was needing done first. All went very well once I got the hang of the car and its more twitchy nature (compared to skyline). Had the back end locking up down shifting early on, and wild over steer. Sorted out my driving and a few clicks up on the DCCD all a lot more controllable. Hint of understeer if too hot into corner, as expected. Running standard calipers front/rear with fresh fluid and MS stopper. No problems with them but the car is running very light and sub 300bhp. No fade at all, with nice firm pedal. Looks to be 'endless' pads front and greenstuff rear (green pads at least.... hope they arent LOL ) Tyres - need to be better. Car was slithering about, but that was quite good fun. Its still running the jap spec Toyo trampio's it was imported with. Susp - very surprised. Lacks the composure of the damping in the skyline, but it'll do for now. Very little noticable body roll, but quite crashy on quick bumps. Its running ancient Tein basic spec coilovers (type HR from memory) PICS AND VIDS his n hers trackcars. Hers is a bit quicker than mine me in the skyboat... wet, medium boost Fee - Skyline Fee - Skyline with wee gravel excursion AK - Impreza, with little 'off' at end AK - Impreza trying to keep up with skyline!
  7. We have a map in the Skyline (only 20% mix for now.....) - will maybe see what gains 40-50% give when the next mapping is done.
  8. yup... drysumping is a bit costly for the 'budget' impreza So... apart from a replacement baffled sump, are there drop in baffle trays on the market. With vertical trap doors to pool the oil around the pickup (not horizontal like cosworth)
  9. I have a baffled sump in the skyline but have still taken out a set of bearings with starvation. I think it was more high revs, high capacity oil pump, and oil pooling at the back of the head. Now have a restrictor into the head, enlarged drains down, and an external oil drain at the back of the head to the sump. Next step after that would be a big winged sump... but i'm not keen on them as they sit very low. Too low for comfort and kerbs on track!! I need to address the Impreza before sorting out its susp and slicks.
  10. Any details on that would be perfect John I'm not convinced with the cosworth one....
  11. ok, the cosworth one isnt as bad as i thought http://www.zenperformance.co.uk/p/product/en
  12. that cosworth baffle plate doesnt really stop oil movig around.... it prevents it getting sucked up the breathers and into inlet/catch tank. Ideally with the standard sump you want a baffle tray with trap doors or such like. Anyone know of off the shelf kits like that?
  13. consider E85 too
  14. dont think so... just the fin bittys are for sure. Its Adam.... I've given up posting as 'Fee' and my old account doesnt work :/
  15. yup, lets see some pics of it? And a spec Any forecast or target times? I thought i read on TA site that you'd be in Club :|
  16. Any details on the rear spoiler? I have the same one
  17. Fee's first outing of the year.... testing out the extra 100hp or so in the pissing wet!
  18. Doune
  19. Gotta give it to these guys.... thats some amount of money to be flinging about a soaking KH Kudos
  20. There was a black and orange GT3 RS too... any pics of that?
  21. quick Q.... AFM's in STi V4 TypeR's ... are they always the orange labeled ones? also see - http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=923
  22. doubt it.... or rather hope not.... I hope fee would have heard some warning signs on that :/
  23. It could be fecked, but would it really cause it not to start etc :S I know it had a habit of fouling plugs when being used for short journeys/start - stops etc.... suggest disscontecting the ECU for a while, cleaning the AFM and fitting fresh or cleaned plugs Do a google search on cleaning fouled plugs if you cant find suitable one this afternoon. Woman
  24. Women eh!! sounds like is running the same as it would without the AFM connected... seems a bit sudden for it to just die though, but maybe the hesitation/stutering you felt the other day was it starting to fail. Still - Check the fault codes, see what it flashes up. Hope with it being a SARD ECU it'll still do it correctly! Engine light wouldnt come on to warm you a boost pipe was away to fall off Be great if it did though!
