About camcq

  1. everything will fit straight over. however the brakes are only single pots front and drums on the rear. then theres the issue of the sport struts being softer for comfort. wrx are stiffer for handling and gas filled. the sport springs are also higher than wrx and also softer. so use the shockies/struts with wrx springs to keep the height. and i doubt the box and diff will be used from the sport. as there built different, as turbo has a slave clutch , sport has a cable. also sure the final drive ratio on the sport is 3.9 plus if swapping over to the sport then the front cross member is different. no rear anti roll bar. and no wires for the turbo system.
  2. Vehicle tax Vehicle tax will be payable in line with the vehicle’s first registration date in the UK. If the vehicle has been previously registered abroad, the date it's first registered in the UK will determine the amount of vehicle tax that’s payable. DVLA will also allocate a vehicle registration number appropriate to the vehicle’s first registration abroad. taken from http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/BuyingAndSellingAVehicle/ImportingAndExportingAVehicle/DG_4022583
  3. Frank C I have read it and it has started after my comment on here. look at the dates.
  4. thats where it comes from. "I'd be guessing that it might have been the .net crowd" why think its them? And not my son this time its all me. oh theres another shiffting the derry. no black hawk sports there that i have come across. No i aint defending his style of driving, or age group. but iam the other site. ive not saw any of them over there slat this site. or try to fire the blame this way when theres a post of similar. Nor am I calling any one in paticular anything here. just generalising. oh look thats the same as most of yous do yerselfs.
  5. Yous all need ti grow up. And stop branding the nice folk on scottishscoobies.net as numptys on the road. this site is also full of numptys. And well regardless of what site there on it really dont matter. Like all yous here that stereo type a site coz its members are younger and more fun. The general public will do the same and stereo type scoob drivers as knobs. Regardless of sites. So look in before you look out and accuse others of the same **** all yous did in your younger years. I drive an impreza so i dont speed. hahaha who can acctually say it and mean it???? not many of yous. anal retentive on here.
  6. From the 1st pic to this, very tasfull mods youve done like it alot bud.
  7. Do love the look of these. Saw one going thru Stirling other day. And defo want one. Happy motoring with it bud.
  8. I have the RB5 as my daily the now. and the sport is just a project. I have taken into account all the work, parts etc. so have the whole lot. I got a insurance write off, as the donor. but never got keys. So since my sport only skint me £130. And the donor cost me £100 I personaly think even after doing the work it would work out cheaper than buying another turbo. And give me a better enjoyment of the car once its all done. thx for all the advice tho. Gets the brain working, which is all good lol.
  9. Personally keep what is on it, looks mutch better.
  10. My car at present is a sport. so I cant use that ECU. And the donor car was a uk turbo on a M plate. But I was thinking of using an import ecu due to them not having an imobilizer.
  11. Nice one Richie. Its typical of folk to stereo type, as only some cyclists are nutters. Just like Scoob owners. But US cyclyst dont shout about all the twats in their high performance knob extension, when they want to drive like WE dont exist. And yes when Im in the Scoob I do leave them plenty room and give them a bit of extra time. As Id prefer a minute longer in this life , than a minute sooner in the next. Shame on you all. And did yous not start on the roads with a bike?
  12. hi folks just a quick one, got an engine box and ecu. but before i go putting it all the gither, if i use the original ecu would i need the original key for the imobiliser? thx in advance
  13. Exactly. Take their pick then either follow you home or hijack you.
  14. Its maybe just me, but i see a few post frome racerx. and all are to do with car thefts of some sort. and how he knows someone in the polis call centre. And thats how his info is reliable. Maybe its his croonies that are doing the blagging, and hes here bragging all about it. And seeing how folk react.
  15. Its the same err the Edinburgh way. Had mine double parked one night and at 5 am was woken up by the polis. As the cars that were parked had gone and left mine looking as tho it been abbandoned. so they were checking to see if we knew anything. I then explained the situation, and they then let me know 7 had been swiped recently. It was nice to see the cops doing their jobs. Nor did it annoy me being woken up. Just glad they are watching.
