  2. I've been with Sky Insurance for a few years now, all mode are covered which is nice to know. Cost has come down by £100 this year as well... only £900 this year then

  4. haha i had worse than that.... at leeming i was on the team that looked after the porta-loo's. The Staish gave us a load of cash to get wrecked on for doing a good job. we went out and got completely smashed and the guy who was supposed to go out on the sunday morining and empty the bogs went missing so i got nobbled to do it! bloody horrible day, about 100 porta-loo's to empty with a stinking hangover....
  5. In my time i did 4 airshows at leeming, 3 at lyneham, 2 in Cyprus, 1 at kinloss, 2 at Lossiemouth, 1 in the Falklands and fitted in the odd flyby. Always a good day out and you can't beat the sound of plane at low level giving it some beans
  6. Should be good, if i lived closer i'd be there. Worked on loads of airshows over 23 years in the RAF and used to have the Reds practice over my house in Cyprus all the time they were training for the show season (which was great when you were on nights, or had washing out).
  7. Here's the info from the Northern safety Camera Partnership. Northern Safety Camera Partnership deployment w/c 20 May 2013 Northern Safety Camera Partnership Manager, Dougie Bennion said: “This week the Partnership is flagging up the importance of maintaining stopping distances because it has been identified through the lens of the cameras that it is a continuing concern. “Stopping distances preserve the space required between vehicles to allow drivers to stop safely if required and the recommended stopping distances should be at least doubled on wet roads. Remember, only a fool breaks the 2 second rule.” Road Safety Scotland website ‘Get in Lane’ contains information and a driving game related to the ‘2 Second Rule’:- How to check there’s a 2 second gap between you and the car in front: 1. Note a roadside feature as the vehicle in front passes it. 2. Count how many seconds pass before you reach the same feature or say the words “only a fool breaks the two second rule”. 3. If it’s less than 2 seconds you are too close. 17. Wonder if he'd like to do a 'group deal'..... mine certainly needs a spruce up!
  18. I got grief from female colleagues once. Driving through Forres on a lunch time all the kids went nuts and chased the old blobeye into a carpark - hard to miss as it's got all the rally graphix.... Apparently my comment of "kids love these cars, Michael Jackson had one you know it's how he got the kids to his creepy funfair" was somehow offensive Women - no sense of humour
  19. he's at buckie on sunday and i always messgae him if anythings planned!
  20. Was planning a meet/drive for early next month. But i'm always open to ideas. I did look at a go karting thing last year - 5 guys each for Moray and aberdeenshire and have a day at the track near elgin. Might have to see if there's any interest in that this year! As it is there's a car show in Buckie on sunday we've got a stand arranged for, always room for one more
  21. Should be ok then. There's been some decidedly dodgy stuff on ebay and i heard of some motor's going up in flames from having it fitted
