I've been thinking about this, here's what I came up with Pro's - Limited edition car, different embroidery on the seats, Prodrive goodies, 280ish BHP, low mileage Cons - 5 speed box, price, low milage, would you want to mod it! for the same money you can have an STI I've got low mileage in both as it's good as the car doesn't seem to have done many miles, but why! It could have been laid up for a while if the last owner couldn't afford to run it.... This can be good for a car or detrimental, suspension needs to work and engines and gearboxes need to be exercised or things go wrong. As soon as the term 'Limited Edition' is added to a car the price goes up..... whether it's warranted or not!

Wasn't it a sort of 'run out' special edition of the blob before the Hawk came in. From memory it's a WRX with STI seats with some nice embroidery on them. 265 ps instead of the std 225 for the blob WRX. It's still got the 5 speed box and no dccd. I can't see it being wrth a lot more than a std WRX, though the low mileage could be good and of course the 2.0 litre engine is cheaper on tax than the 2.5 so these are a bit more popular than hawks with buyers at the minute.. Bangernomics.... £300-500 on a banger with 6 months MOT. Cheaper running costs than the Scoob and better mpg. If it fails the next MOT scrap it and buy another. Loads of people do it. I've got the Hawk and the C4, my other drives my old Blob WRX as her daily car. Nothing will get her out of it!

I did think about getting rid of the Litchfield. Only did 4,000 miles last year, tax (£250 as its a Jap import 2L), insurance £900, 21mpg, servicing, etc Then I took it out at the weekend and all the thoughts left my little head. I've got the C4 for the work commute with occasional trips in the scoob. I'll soak up the cost and the fling wouldn't be the same in anything else

Is that repairs to the cars or the track / barriers Lewis?

My thought was to book it for a Karting day with the understanding we could throw the cars arond it later! That way we can have some fun wrecking some Karts to remove the aggression and then have a sedate bimble round the track in ones own jaloppy.... or something like that

Indeed, I don't see why we can't because cars use it now in the sprint series and we have insurance through the MSA. Worth a try!

Yeah I haven't relied to their email cos I'm still in shock. If you check out their Facebook page all the pics I've seen so far have been of Oil Company's having a team building session/day out. You can't he but think they're aiming for the oil company's using them quite a bit to keep it going. Personally I'd rather head down south (or to boyndie of we can set it up) for a track day that pay the prices they want... Looks like I'm off to India next month for a few weeks, hopefully I'll find when they're expecting me to go over again later in the year and I can start to look at what we've got planned and try to make sure I'm here for it.... Unless they're going to give me a bonus for slumming it in a 5* hotel in India all expenses paid!
