  1. I did mention it last night Taff and the answer was it could be a bit boring on your own! I'm sure I'd manage.... We shall see, i'll keep dropping subtle hits
  2. Well I don't seem to be able to upload pics again or link to anything. The car is at ABZ Cars if anyone wants a look. Its a WRX SL with PPP, and the usual SL bits - leather heated seats & sunroof. New Toyo tyres, recent timing belt and service and a folder full of receipts. It'll do the wench for a few years and it'll fit the pooch which is a bonus.
  3. I'll see what i can do when i get home. Hopefully by the end of the day we'll know if we're buying it!
  4. Well it's looking like my old blob WRX that the wench has been driving for the last few years is going..... To be replaced with a silver Hawk Wagon with PPP, leather interior, heated seats and sunroof.... Took it for a test drive today and it's a nice driver and strangely having that wagon back end on it makes it feel a lot bigger than a saloon. An old neighbour had a hawk Wagon and the wench hated it but she seems to like this one though the kids are complaining that it doesn't have any rally graphics on it and can we put some on!
  5. Subaru did a removable tow hook I do believe - at least there's one fitted to the Hawk Wagon I was looking at today to replace the blob WRX we have. |No bumper cutting involved and looked ok
  6. I don't use wax. These days i use a Workstat Acrylic 3 part system. Sprays on and wipes off easy and gives great protection. Before that i used Dodo Juice Blue Velvet that was good wax
  7. Check out the Polished Bliss web site. They have guides and vids on there. It's where I got my polisher from and all the kit, they couldn't be more helpful if you have questions. Overall start it slow to get it applied and then speed up the machine for the actual polishing. Take your time and remember Suabru's have a thin paint/lacquer coating so don't go nuts with a coarse compound and pad. I usually use the finest pads and compound I have and end up with no swirl marks and a glass finish
  8. Welcome along. Nice looking motor. I'm the RO (Joint with Moray) for Aberdeenshire. So keep an eye out in the Scottish section for whats going on - been quiet this year with work and weddings getting in the way for the 2 RO's up here. Hopefully we'll have loads of stuff to do next year and the Highland Fling is always a good weekend of driving
  9. I used to think that whan i had the blob WRX. After an upgrade to a JDM Hawk with Stage 2 engine work (then i uprated the anti-roll bars, anti-lift kit & PF brake discs and pads) i hate driving the Blob. Can't beat a load of extra power!
  10. anyhoo how's glorious Northumberland I haven't been down home for 2 years. Might be on a flying visit in a couple of months for a school reunion if I'm not globetrotting to India with work
  11. Mine - 2nd time round. Should be for keeps this time as she's not a lying, cheating, adulterous bitch like the first one. As a bonus she drives a scoob (ok it's my old one but it still counts).
  12. Well I've been busy with work and apparently I have a wedding coming up in less than a month... Hopefully i'll be back to normal soon and so will the MAD Scoobys facetube page
  13. The Type 25 at the bottom one looks nice!
  14. It's tempting to bring my old team name out of retirement (if the filters allow it!) and give it a bash
  15. they've been changed at some point the standard units are made by KYB. They can be a bit pricey through Subaru but you can get replacements from Camskills at a decent price without having to go down the coilover route. Not sure what BCCs are like, hopefully someone will be along to say. Like any suspension set up it depends what kit you go for - street, track, etc. things just get stiffer and crashier if you can put up with it
  16. I usually use Paints4U. Decent prices and paints a great match!
  17. Welcome along, not seen many in that colour
  18. FK452's on both scoobs. Never had a problem with them, they wear well and grip is fine in wet and dry but they can be a bit harsh on road noise occasionally but it depends on the road surface.
  19. we're talking about the forum not the runs you deluded fool
  20. Welcome back to the world of Subaru ownership. Nice looking motor youve got there...
  21. I've had it before and it was caused by the boot spolier. Water was leaking in through the bolt holes. If it's that you can remove the spoiler and add some rubber seals in or do what i did and seal every bolt and grommet hole up with bathroom sealant. The main cluprits for a boot full of water seem to be either the spoiler or the rear lights
