  1. I just had a loooooooong trawl on the net for matte classics. Not many about but i did find a dude in the czech rep. who built and wrecked and rebuilt his track/rally car in matte black. Link to his thread below, pages 2 and 3 are probably the most interesting/relevant. http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.ph...4043&page=2 I was thinking of doing a matte black for my car but decided more horses would be more fun!
  2. Nice figures and pics I wish I had a missus that was willing to help wash/wax my car. I think mine would sooner wash the car with a brick than soapy water!
  3. I love white Type RA's!
  4. Here's a few pics of mine, hopefully a few cosmetic changes happening soon though...
  5. Here's a similarly related question. If you heatwrap or ceramic coat a turbo to keep radiated heat in, will it not increase the running temp of the turbo and shorten its life span?
  6. I was just in email conversation with Stewart from Black performance and he gave me a very good price for both sides of the turbo and down pipe.
  7. Ive had my current car for 10 months, it had a blitz sus cone when I got it. It was throwing code 23 but after removing the cone in favour of the std box with K+N Panel as per Mr F's recommendation, cleaning the sensor then reset ECU, its been fine ever since. I sit corrected.
  8. Thats some damn expensive chocolate Iain! I have a '99 T2000 and have the K+N panel filter with no problems to report. AFAIK, the cone type induction kits are mighty bad for the MAF unless mapped to suit.
  9. That would be coupe... Very tasty from the rear but not too keen on the front. Luckily though, the rear is all anyone would see!
  10. Yeah, i'm with you on that!
  11. From what i've read (many times) on the MAF sensor... Start the car, let it run then disconnect/remove the MAF. If the engine dies instantly then your MAF is fine.
  12. I agree, the first weekend in May will be busier than the rest of the month. I'm easy whatever dates are decided. I once did a run from Gairloch to Fort William via Durness, Thurso and Inverness in one day and the roads up there are second to none!
  13. Not really my cup of tea at the moment, I reckon it would suit better with some same colour graphics.
  14. that depends on which particular age and type impreza you have bud. im sure someone would be able to help out.
  15. Yep, count me in too! The Beallach is a great drive, even in the pishin rain and fog that engulfs it 90% of the year!
  16. I got a cheapo set from Dingbro through my work if that helps?
  17. I just scared the bejesus out of myself by going on Amiral (who im currently with) for a quote. The robbing barstewards want £750! But to be fair, I do still have 3 points that qualify under their "in the last 5yrs" bull! I also had a claim and that was all my current mods declared. (DV, Airfilter, Wheels and suspension) And im 28
  18. Elephant definitley did (back in late 2008) as my type ra was insured through them. They were excellent too, never had a single problem with them. Even when it got written off.
  19. I couldnt hear it running at the santa cruise run! On topic, it has been said, drive both and if you are sure and certain at the bottom of your heart that you wont be modifying to reach or exceed the spec of the STI, go for the GB270. Me personally, I would go for the STi.
  20. Oh dear god, thats horrific! He thinks its woth £3600 too!
  21. Any particular reason for our preference Dipsy?
  22. You might be better posting this one in the strictly technical area mate.
  23. I just bought Silkolene Pro-S 5w-40 for £38 from Opie Oils. Used it once before and never had any trouble.
  24. Cant say I've seen it, and with a paint job like that, its not a car you're likely to forget seeing either
  25. A porker up in Thurso, where the flock did you get it serviced?!
