Best so far has to be the '00 TypeRA, though my current T2000 will soon be surpassing it! My worst car so far was a '95 Rover 214 SLi in white with a walnut effect dash. I had it 6months and scrapped it. Also had a couple of golfs, a '00 V6 4Motion and a Revo remapped GT TDI with 176bhp and 300lb/ft.

I'm in the same boat as you mate, I am going for a AFP TD05-16G. I didnt want to go any bigger as I dont want to risk the 'box or internals for a while...

I have to admit, when Top Gear tested a red hatch I didnt like the look of it and didnt think the colour suited it at all. But now that the hatch has grown on me, the red does look good on it, nice motor!

Sebastian will struggle to take the title this year, with the return of Marcus Gronholm, the addition of Ken Block and Kimi Raikonnen as well as Mikko Hirvonen on his case. It will be very interesting to see who wins this year. I wouldnt be willing to put money on any one driver at the moment.

Sounds to me like you are having a rough time of it there mate. As was said before, with the kind of cash you are talking about spending on an ***9, you could have a serious classic on your hands. I went without a scoob before but never lasted more than a few months, I missed the burble far too much. Before you head for the dark side, have you actually driven an STi blobeye, hawkeye or hatch?

My 2p worth... Car parking charges. People who do not know how to use a passing place effectively (if at all!). The vast majority of caravanners/campervans and their "driving style". That gimp with the bushy hair off fifth gear. Incourteous drivers. "Temporary" roadworks. Traffic wardens/nazi's. The imminent threat of pay as you drive. The cost of a mortgage. Council tax. One way systems. Poorly maintained drainage systems on our roads. Being miles away from my scoob for 7 weeks. The government. People who use baby buggies like snow ploughs. People who sit on their a*** complaining about immigrants (legal or otherwise) coming in and "stealing" their jobs. To have something stolen involves having something in the first place. Professional beggars. Spam email. Being paid less and doing a bucket load more than the person in the job directly above you. Liars, cheaters, fraudsters (that may have been covered by the government). Working weekends and on birthdays. Drunk drivers.

This may be a little biased but the Subaru version is a lot better looking, especially from the rear. Lets face it, thats also the most important view, because with the potential from the turbocharged EJ20, thats all anyone else is gonna see! Loving it very much all it needs now is a sensible price tag...

Jesus, thats nothing short of horrific! I dont know and have never met you but I - along with all the other SIDC members feel your pain. My car is pretty much worthless compared to the time money and effort it sounds like you have put into yours but my car is still my pride and joy and if someone was to steal it, i would feel a part of me had died. I got Toyo T1-R's from camskill for less than £70 a corner delivered. It was not that long ago and I think they are good. Not done a huge mileage on them but they are good in the wet!
