  1. Aye, its a bloody disgrace! This isnt the best bit, its going to go up another 2.5% when they put VAT back up to 17.5% so your 111p a litre is going to hit 114p!! Bring on another protest and blockade, if only I had an HGV or a Tractor or something! That ****er darling makes hitler look like mary bloody poppins!! and breathe.....
  2. Happy Birthday min, it's a' doon hill fae 25! You'll be getting all sensible
  3. I passed my test in a pugger 205 Junior, barrel rolled it 5 month later. First car I bought was a pug 306XN, then a white Rover 214 SLi, then a 306 DTurbo, then a Golf GT TDI with a revo remap, then a V6 4Motion Golf, then my first scoob which was a '00 WRX Type RA and currently got a fiat punto and of course my beloved Green UK Turbo 2000
  4. Im happy enough without the pink clutch, thanks for clearing that up chief!
  5. Yup, does beg the question of are they selling the same unit...
  6. Hilarious Wayne, you think my foot doesnt already have enough behind it?! I mean producing more/less pops from the mapping, is it just dumping more fuel in and it combusting on a hot exhaust?
  7. The clutch from Russel is a lot cheaper than Alyn's price quote for an Exedy unit to cope with 350lb/ft. Russel is doing me a good price on a flywheel too.
  8. Pardon my ignorace/stupidity but how does it work? Maybe I should hold out til i get a new turbo and IC and get some pops and bangs thrown in at the some time. Its an awful long way just for that. Bugger, I presumed it was going to give some after the map anyway...
  9. There are a couple of goats roaming around in some gardens
  10. I never asked, so you have a switchable map? Does it cost extra? I want me some of that!
  11. Get one! Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on - we can have a mini meet when I visit
  12. Dont want to scare you mate but...Is that not for an OEM spec kit? Camskill do them for £151... would we not need to get a fast road unit to handle the big increase in torque? I guessed that was why mine started to slip more than just wear and tear. Thanks for the offer of the flywheel bud, i'll see if I can get that done here first, I may be in touch soon. You work offshore aye? On the beach for long? I'd still like to give the Nur Spec R a go cause I want it REALLY loud! It might be a bit quieter on mine than with you 'cause I have the sports cat DP which may be muffled a little... What brakes are you going for? Im tempted to just get the cheap one from dingbro to save for now.
  13. I got mine from Dingbro, pretty cheap!
  14. I wouldnt mind if it was pennies Wayne... Andy did a cracking job, im fair chuffed with it. Its still not loud enough or quick enough an im not getting any popping or banging yet...beginning to wish i'd bought Ciarans Nur Spec R....Noises and horses will have to wait for the clutch and rear brakes, bugger!
  15. Thanks for help fellas I spoke to Alyn about the Exedy, Helix and AP clutches, he was very helpful and informative. Basically they will all do the job at 350/350 but the AP and Helix clutches are more comfortable as well as having a better/softer feel. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll go for the Exedy one and try to find it as cheap as I can to keep my other nodding plans on track!
  16. Its looking bonnie Wayne, very bonnie! Pity there isnt a sound bite with the pics...
  17. Not yet, been too busy working... it had to be done for the next level anyway. Was a little disappointed that it only lasted 48hrs after the tinkering though! When you getting rid of the Fo*d and getting a real car?!
  18. I disagree, not enough ponies! The clutch was gonna have to be done anyway but I was hoping it would be more than 48hrs after seeing Andy! Getting a horrible feeling af deja vu! thanks for the link Frank I'll give Alyn a shout.
  19. As above, with my recently found power and torque, my clutch at 90k has decided it cant handle it so my question is which one should I go for? Ive heard of the Exedy and Helix units but unsure of which or any other recommendations to go for. I'd be aiming for 350bhp and similar torque with a five speed uk classic 'box in the now much more distant future. Any help opinions much appreciated...
  20. You did have a bigger turbo mate so too! : Well done on your figures, very impressive. I wasnt that far on the torque... I'll send you a goat on the turbo soon...
  21. I too was booked in on the GB to get Andy to do some fettling with my car He's a cracking bloke and was very helpful with all my questions, questions, questions I've never done this live mapping malarky before but it was just like being on a driving lesson. Anyway, I did a few wee mods before the visit including Walbro 255, NGKPFR7B's, K&N Panel filter, 3in 100cpi sports cat downpipe and a 3in centre and rear section. Then came the first good news, it turns out that the car had been mapped before and that saved me a lump of cash! Then a wee run and some jiggery pokery and managed 277Bhp and 312lb/ft! What a difference to the car, its so much more fun! Not quite the same results as Ciaran earlier but my wallet may well get another battering if the right turbo happens to come along...
  22. If you are talking about the "plate" on the coin tray, im not entirely sure each build was given one. Was it not more of an after market add on by the P1OC? I could be wrong though, it has been known... I'd rather a Type R - Rich's one! Think there was a topic on this in the general section if memory serves correctly.
  23. Hello and welcome form a fellow highlander! Nice clean looking blob you have there, black is stunning!
  24. ha ha - you think they bought it?
