About Sleiper

  1. just had my RCM Turbo and yellow 650's fitted so need it mapped so i can have a play, picked the car up from SW Motorsport today and drove it home with the beeps set at just under 2k rpm not much fun ;( lol
  2. 2.5's can have it on/off with flat foot shifting and auto blip on downchanges on the new racerom ecutek that andy does, i have pops and bangs and absolutely hate it unfortunately mine is always on(blob sti), draws unwanted attention to car and is a pain in the a**e also EGT's are through the roof which in turn can't be good for turbo, headers etc, i'm getting a tweak by andy for my new turbo, injectors etc next week and will definetely be getting the bangs turned off!
  3. j autos doing a GB on these on scoobynet just now very cheap mate!
  4. could of been scoobie27 from ss.net as we work down there at marine depot at portobello for LRT
  5. i got steve whitson at sw motorsport to do it mate, shocks are good quality unfortunately the grease in them isnt so this tends to happen, i dere say you could do it yourself if you have a wee bit motor knowledge but i just paid for it as i aint that good, been perfect ever since and prob done around 7k miles since with no probs mate stu
  6. are they totally knackered mate? mine is an 06 sti and the back ones were knocking so got them stripped off and re- greased a year back in feb and have been spot on since havent made a single noise, think i paid £80 lot cheaper than replacing them as the original grease had just hardened up, hope this helps? cheers - stu
  7. Hi chris cheers, sorry didnt reply sooner, yep defo gonna be back to sw for more mods, got a wee plan for over the winter looks like our car is gonna be sleeping in with yours for the winter!!
  8. howdy long time how are you? How did you remedy it, did you heatwrap or just disguard it?
  9. put car in to SW Motorsport for the colder grade plugs and decat downpipe to be fitted then straight down to Andy Forrest on friday for remap,(Great Fun) car made 360bhp & 353lbft. torque, i'm well chuffed! However Sat dropped Leslie off at work went for a wee blast down the road to GP Autos in dalkeith and the fun began, had a rattly heatshield for few weeks but didnt think it was that serious! but it was. OH ****, i said as the steering locked on a tight left hander (thats the mild toned down version for the post by the way). So i stopped chain smoked a few fags to calm my nerves and set off on my way home. Lost confidence in it since then so just pottered around until i could get up to SW Motorsport so Steve could have a look at it and found that the front of uppipe heatshield had seperated from back part and was rattling around at the steering rack causing it to lock up the steering and vibrate occasionally, Steve said he had never seen this before it was a first! So he dropped what he was doing put it on ramp and ten minutes later all is fine again! Big Thanks to SW Motorsport!!! Top Man, i can now go and play!!!!
  10. did you have more than a quarter of a tank of fuel in it?, mine splutters if i nail it on roundabouts or bends with less than 1/4 tank, Andy forrest told me it because the fuels sloshes to the side of the tank and creates an air bubble type thing in fuel line as the fuel is starved from feed at the side
  11. Can any one tell me the correct tyre pressures for 235/40/18 on pff7 alloys? Cheers
  12. Hi just looking for some info, as the other half is away for a weekend of pampering next weekend to aviemore with her mum. i was thinking about taking the wee boy up to Banff to visit my gran as it's been a while, was just wondering whether the last place to get v power is Aberdeen, I know turiff had a shell garage but was a small one and not sure if they got the V Power?
