  1. I would love to go along but I dont know for sure if I will be home for it... flucking oil industry!
  2. Sorry to hear about the job, whats your plans for the next job? Not sure if there is an Aberdeenshire Scoobies but you're more than welcome to join up Aberdeen Scoobies! Lots more friendly, knowledgable laugh a minute folk over there. Aye, and I'm on it too
  3. Cracking results Dave All you need now is a talent bag big enough to cope with the new power and torque!
  4. I think i discussed this car on a local forum recently, has it had an STI bottom end fitted?
  5. I would offer to cast a nosey eye over it but I'm not going to have a spare minute to look at it for probably a week. Drop me a PM if you want?
  6. You mean what power to expect? It'll probably max out at 320hp. Depends entirely on what setup you have - intercooler, injectors, induction, exhaust etc.
  7. Hopefully i'll be bale to make it this year... Which grumpy sod voted no?!
  8. welcome along from another (proper) highlander!
  9. Engine not dying when MAF is pulled isnt a stone wall knackered MAF. Not sure whats wrong to be honest. Oh and thanks for not replying to my text, i've been running around all weekend with the airbox in my car.
  10. Ah no worries Russell, I enjoy driving. Also, I did think about you and Ali this morning but didnt want to disturb or wey lay your trip. Brian also offered to carry it back after his stagger down there next weekend I but didnt want him looking like a tool with a second hand subaru front wing under his arm
  11. I could meet you at broxden tomorrow lunchtime? Am heading back from Newcastle in the morning, I have the box but no filter so you will need to get a hold of a panel filter. You up to much this weekend Dave? Am hitting newcastle at stupid o'clock tomorrow for a new wing then back down the road again for ingliston with Aberdeen Scoobies on Sunday.
  12. I have a STD airbox here and will be doing a fair bit of travelling over the weekend, where abouts are you?
  13. So 7 minutes previous to this thread it was running fine but now it's not? The symptoms you are providing sound like you've got a knackered MAF sensor or circuit. Aftermarket filters, especially the oiled ones are known to ruin the sensors. The version 5/6 (yours is a 6) are particularly susceptible to this. It maybe worth finding a local known working one and fitting it to your car to rule it out?
  14. Code 23 is for the MAF Sensor and circuit so make sure you check all the wiring connections too. Get a new one from a Subaru dealer.
  15. Newage turbo back exhaust I believe is: downpipe - cat pipe - centre pipe - back box Im pretty sure the photo in post #12 has a back box on the left and a "cat pipe" on the right. The ebay ad has a back box and "centre pipe". As to which of these pipes prodrive tinkered with - no idea. I would suggest that what jebus82 has is a decat centre pipe.
  16. The back box alone is probably wirth over £100 and the £50 plus P+P above is a good offer.
  17. how very dare you!
  18. Im sure the extra ballast and reduced power/weight ratio of carrying you will keep him on the straight and narrow...
  19. A third for Alyn here. I also recommend ditching the 2 pot fronts. As Dave says, the 4 pot brembos are good and another option worth considering is a set of 4 pot sumitomo calipers with "SUBARU" lettering on. These are also a vast improvement on the 2-pots and were used on facelift classics (99-00) and all WRX's since then.
  20. I think thats a bit harsh Gee WR1. As I see it Dave was meerly asking a question, not putting .net down or looking down on it.
  21. Its always good to hear of these stories, they're getting rare these days!
  22. I had a short term loan of Wuz's bugeye not too long ago, its running KW coilovers (not sure what else) but it drove very well, was firm but not crashy. I felt the KW's were a much nicer set up on the road than the BC's in BrianM's car which I've also had the pleasure to drive.
  23. Cracking looking blob Paul, White newages do look damn good!
