About BLOB EYE

  1. then baz or another mod should clean up as he see's fit
  2. Accepted without prejudice if clean up is required.
  3. In some cases it is required to protect the remainder of the community. Im not sure what software is used on the other forums but we also ban IP so its more a waste of the persons time. And at the end of the day its better for all to let the priverbial just lie
  4. Your account is not deleted Gordy, Its still on the forum, You are banned, I sent you a PM saying how i got you wrong then found out that you were more than being the keyboard warrior on cssc. again, this is not SIDC business and i apologise on behalf of CSSC for their users coming on SIDC to continue trolling when they have my direct email and can contact me about anything. Its lorraine that has had the brunt of it as i banned her account through no fault of her own so that you do not use it for access although i know you have both been down to gordies to look with his, or at least thats what you told him you would do
  5. Everyone ? you mean the select few that were in the same clique, Im not going to spill this onto another forum george so please dont continue to comment on that side of the subject, SIDC does not need SS or CSSC drama, if you could also update CSSC then i would then class you as the man
  6. Some good points Gee, everyone has a choice to log on or not, when people request to have accounts deleted for whatever reason, legally it has to be actioned.
  7. Guess that's something we can be greatfull of george
  8. You cant mate, you take the rough, some people will not like it, and they will leave causing a shit storm and follow you to make sure everyone knows. others will just take it for what it is and get on with life and not let it bother them. You just ride the storm until the dust settles, they cant see that you are not there to please those individuals or small groups of individuals, you are there for the benefit of all and have to make those decisions knowing they wont like it. some people out grow forums and need to move on, but the forum will always be there and so will the new members that sign up daily and new characters will become those that left. part of life.
  9. There are complaints that its too moderated with too many rules so not sure what forum you are browsing but you are in a welcomed minority if thats what vibes you are picking up
  10. 3rd that, i was only giving feedback as was asked in post 1. you know the score, as long as we talk and the right people are contacted, harmony can be achieved.
  11. Scoobywho gets chastised for what is classed as trolling. I.e. posting to insite nothing more than an argument which you clearly get away with. strange rules round here. I have absolutely no shame in my job and nor does it break any opsec rules, social networking advice maybe but no opsec. people ask for help, feedback is given and the trolls just mock. ss.net with thrive due to keeping people that troll away and the threads of why will still be getting posted here whilst you lurk with your followers
  12. It would be better all that if you do quote my emails, that you quote all of it rather than select what you want to and piece them together. Kim, Not a problem. I know how busy life can be. For the past two and a half years I have worked a a systems manager in Afghanistan, which at times can be busy. So to get down to it. As I approached before. We are looking to secure the scottishscoobies family of addresses. I would imagine now SIDC are sailing towards international branding the Scottishscoobies leg will be become less useful to the forum. I have been a member of SIDC for the past year but have found the forum section to be very quiet. That's not to say its dying rather than we are just growing. We are prepared as part of the securing process to link SIDC as one of our planned knowledge base forums under a new planned section where our members will be directed ad directly linked to the likes of SN, NASIOC and of course yourselves. We would be looking to closely integrate our events team with your regional organisers to plan some joint ventures. We have confirmed some exciting plans for the Final quarter of this and first half of next years. What would SIDC's view be on this or ideas on the relationship side. Thanks again. Eddie So what you skirted around and then tried to make a bad point of was that the domain registration was the initial contact subject, you asked for ideas which i gave and asked your thoughts which you never replied about. this was where i felt snubbed. I am more than happy and can understand from my background the need for CIA when it comes to data and information, i.e. Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of data to those that need it against those that dont. I refer you to the OP's question and think you could help him with his reply, you may be loved by few but cant see your comments helping the rest when they read them.
  13. I have read the 4 pages although getting lost in some claims of homosexuality From the history I have heard, Connor Split from SIDC and Formed SS, Rightly, Wrongly, thats well in the past. He, for reasons that we will not speak of as it was in agreement, shot himself in the foot and had to leave the forum quick sharp. I decided to buy him out to keep the forum as the forum. The question was asked, What does SS.net do differently, this is what i will address and nothing more, so when you see my comments, they are directed at that question and no ones comments. SS.net is not a business so all monies are returned to the club SS.net has been commented on by its method of advertising, some users do not like to have advertising flashed at them all day. SS.net engages the newbie from post 1, they cannot see any of the forum until they have 5 posts, during these 5 posts they are hounded for pictures and spec thus bringing them into a position of feeling engaged not free to roam around with no interaction. This also stops the wolves getting in and keeps them at bay. SS.net is looked at as more than a forum and more as a community, in and out of the virtual world. SS.nets members range from 19-72 so it clearly has nothing to do with age. That is about it i would say. Every place will have ups and downs, people coming and going, we just had about 5 of our busiest members including staff leave the club, this was returned with about 15 new members signing up and getting involved from post 1. We can never keep every individual happy but we have to do what's right for the majority. These have never been secret, and i actually replied to the previous post asking how you can make the place more popular. I have been a member here and a user now. I have never really been engaged in conversation from the start nor contacted by any RO to find out if im interested in any meets because they see i live in their area but they have not seen me along. If the guys locally feel that these meets are about rubbing exhausts then pop along and see for yourself, yes sometimes they are stand about, catch up and have a KFC meets but some of them have runs strapped onto them. I know our Highland meets have runs, Central Meets have runs, Glasgow and Lanarkshire meets have runs, Certain areas have lower numbers like Ayrshire but they travel up to the G&L meets and also double up with Ayreshire Scoobs as do our Aberdeen lot with Aberdeen Scoobs. We have a very good rep with other clubs and have actually started to see guys join up from the north of england. That about answers the questions, so i would like to touch upon a few things i read throughout the whole thread. I have been in the chair now for over a year and i can categorically say that i have never been contacted by any SIDC head staff about bringing the two clubs together, a few members and an RO contacted us about sorting joint meets and they kind of fizzled to nothing. we have the charity day next month which we are happy to attend and support which may be a start. I personally contacted Frenchy about sorting the relationship between the two clubs which was not met with any sort of interaction, the jist i received was we are SIDC, what do you propose to how you will better the relationship. I also offered my services when you were going through your current transition where the site was down, was more snubbed than acknowledged. Of course these incidents could of been just how i perceived them and not how they were meant so its just one of those things i have given up on. One of the incidents i had heard of was a Knockhill day, where 2 of our members went over to visit a friend or two on the SIDC stand. When it was found they were members of SS.net they were bitched off the SIDC stand. This in itself is enough for word to get around and turn people away from the name SIDC\Scottish Scoobies. Just feedback on how I personally see it nothing aimed at anyone.
  14. thanks for the info, reposted on .net for the aberdeenshire lot
