  1. Sorry for the no show today folks. Unforeseen circumstances. The missus clearly forgot I'm not a mind reader...
  2. Best of luck with the sale Chris! Looking forward to seeing your next car... Pics up on here when you've got it...
  3. Its a limited run carbon fibre job from Japan. Bought and fitted by the previous owner, scratched to death by me
  4. I was just contemplating heading down..
  5. Only if he changes his name to Mark Fischer! Thanks, the Decon and tardis combos is great. No agitation required. One bit of advice though, leave the Decon on as long as you can, let it dry on as its still working up to then. I applied on a sunny, windy day and as you can see, it dried up and dried quite quickly. Ideally a day without sun would have been better to have it working longer.
  6. Thanks fellas, am quite happy with how the photos came out. Baz - I'm surprised you've not considered the spoilerless look with you being the Rosemary Conely of impreza's? There's a fair weight in those spoilers. Oh and my spoiler is still attached to the original lid. I'm quite impressed with the colour match from the eBay one Brian and I fitted.
  7. I went to the bother of making and posting this in my local lclub so thought I would share with you guys too. I decided it was high time I got my finger out and gave the RA a proper clean - I've only had it 2 years Though I'm starting to wish I hadnt as it's shown me what a state its really in! First I rinsed with the power washer then snow foamed with Meguiars Rinsed again and then applied Wolfs Decon Gel to get rid of contaminents. It turns bright purple as it bleeds down the bodywork! Then applied and rinsed off Tardis to complete the decontamination. I then moved the car into the garage to pat dry with a big fluffy cloth I got from Polished Bliss a week or so ago. The paintwork was very smooth after this so I never bothered with the clay. No pics of this process. I then moved onto protecting the paintwork since i had stripped it bare of all contaminents. At this point I have to thank BrianM for giving me his Jeff's Werkstat products on a day where he was less than fresh from the night before. Thanks Brian! So I started off with Jeffs Werkstat Prime to act as a base to the top coats of sealant. I did the whole car at once with this and found I was only supposed to take it a little at a time. It was a NIGHTMARE to remove! Once I managed ot lose half my body weight in sweat trying to get the prime off, I applied Jeff's Werkstat Sealant to the entire car - one panel at a time :lol2: Pics below are of the paintwork after finishing with the sealant. These were taken at lunchtime today... So this evening the detailing continued and after applying 3 consecutive coats of wolfs decon over 3 days, i finally go the lions share of pad material off of the P1 wheels. So today I sealed them up with Autoglym Aerosol Alloy Wheel Sealant, just spray on and buff of. Thats all well and good with wheels that have 5 or less spokes, the P1's have ten, safe to say I wont be doing thaty again in a long time! Anyway, the results of my labour today can be seen in the pics below...
  8. That ford is nearly as ugly as the Volvo C30! Nice scoob though
  9. As monsterenergy says, WP are an Evo specialist, I wouldn't put my car there. That's the polite answer If Brian Downie is using Paul Blamire (Zen Performance) then I would definitely be happy let him map my subaru. I drive to Andy Forrest.
  10. The bright flitter is nice on the P1. Didn't know some came with gold wheels, a factory option I guess.
  11. Anthracite or black for wheels, you put gold wheels on and it'll look like a type r trying to be a p1. Keeping the external colour sonic blue?
  12. Very clean and shiney! Looks to be a very nice purchase!
  13. Welcome back! Dont be offended but I near choked on my coffee reading the above! I guess that's more of a poor reflection on me than you though...
  14. A couple of interesting posts there gentlemen
  15. Thought someone was purchasing your 555 Paul? Or did that fall on its erse?
  16. You been taking optimism pills arch? If you need a spare gearbox, mine will be up for grabs this winter - I HOPE!
  17. Aye, I've only been business class once and that was with emirates to Bangkok on one of the double decker airbuses, was absolutely phenomenal! The bar at the back of the plane was rather popular!
  18. Who did you fly with?
  19. Looks like she bought a cut and shut!!!
  20. Terrible news. As Colin says, thoughts with the family and hoping its no one on here.
  21. Fair enough chief, we've all been there! All the best with the mods and let us know how you get on.
  22. +1 to hutch. Why spend money shortening the life of a car when you can buy the car you are looking for in standard form. It will be cheaper to insure if you offset it against declaring all your discussed mods.
  23. I still would have needed it for my MoT though Dale! Shouldn't need it next year though Good to see its hopefully not needed though.
  24. On the catalunya? With the lambda near the back of the pipe? Mine has the lambda up near the turbo. Yours for much cheapness if that's easier?
  25. Ah, i see. Was it a decat, sports cat or cat pipe you have? If decat or cat pipe, I have one of each sitting gathering dust in Brian's garage.
