Purely out of interest, where have you read that?
If induction does cause issues with MAF, that rules out CAI too then, since the I is for Induction?
I'm no expert on the matter but I would suggest that there are going to be more issues for a MAF with a CAIK over an engine bay induction kit. Mostly due to a less restrictive air flow path allowing higher air velocity and also due to drawing air from the inner wing where there is more chance of drawing in water and dirt.
There is a lot of scaremongering over IK's whether CA or engine bay, mostly down to people throwing bits on their car and expecting the ECU to know what they've done and for it to account for the mods without getting an AFR etc checked out. Since it appears you are planning a remap (from other threads) then this shouldn't be an issue.
Have you been in other cars with CAIK or IK's fitted for a drive to see if you like the induction noise they create?
