  1. Never was there a better reason to stay away from Peterhead!
  2. How many miles from Inverness to Inverness good sir?
  3. I wouldnt just fit the 2 bar map sensor without getting AFR checked or remapped. Thanks for clearing that up on the MAP sensor Dave! I have a set of the phase 2 440's mentioned above. Yours for £50 delivered or £40 picked up. Because yours is an earlier car, you'll need injector adapters to allow the phase 2 injectors to fit your manifold. They can be found here... http://www.carldavey.co.uk/product.php?id=2
  4. Bigger, yes. Better - depends on your driving style. The 20g will be slower to spool but will hit harder for longer compared to the 16g. The 16g should make between 330 and 350 with larger injectors and after market FPR to run more fuel and at higher pressure though you would need to up boost to over 1bar to make this. But to do this you need to remap. I think that that the only limiting factor from there is your MAF. I'm no mapper or expert of any kind but this is what I've learnt from my time on the forums.
  5. It'll be a 16g in the RA Alun. How much power are you after?
  6. Welcome to the club and see questions above...
  7. Depending on the phone you could upload via a photobucket app? Welcome along to the club!
  8. Good lad craig, nice to see you got it in the end The car looks great and its nice to see it being claned up right. My only observation - is the VF48 not more of a 2.5L sized turbo and going to be laggy on a 2.0 or 2.1?
  9. ^^^that thing must be a bit laggy...
  10. 3 chomps and a packet of monster munch?
  11. Old VF35 on the right, new HS18G on the left...
  12. Yeah, I'm not for too much hard work so I soaked my tips in wolfs Decon then spraying tardis on them before using some lube to polish up...
  13. I'm not into rod smoking myself but did manage to get a couple of hours alone in the garage polishing my back box the other day...
  14. I was close then Hahahaha Here's me in a tree at the Jim Clark rally a couple of years ago... One of the track slut... ...and last but not least one of newly christened Dirty Diana..

  16. Is that where you prefer the rod Chris?
  17. now all we need to do is photoshop felly's coupon with Baz's and bingo, Baz's done too!
  18. you'll fair get the wind in your hair driving that...
  19. depends how much of a fanny or indeed rod smoker you are...
  20. Purely out of interest, where have you read that? If induction does cause issues with MAF, that rules out CAI too then, since the I is for Induction? I'm no expert on the matter but I would suggest that there are going to be more issues for a MAF with a CAIK over an engine bay induction kit. Mostly due to a less restrictive air flow path allowing higher air velocity and also due to drawing air from the inner wing where there is more chance of drawing in water and dirt. There is a lot of scaremongering over IK's whether CA or engine bay, mostly down to people throwing bits on their car and expecting the ECU to know what they've done and for it to account for the mods without getting an AFR etc checked out. Since it appears you are planning a remap (from other threads) then this shouldn't be an issue. Have you been in other cars with CAIK or IK's fitted for a drive to see if you like the induction noise they create?
  21. I don't know if it is available on OS but twin boost settings are available on EcuTek.
  22. Does the Team Ice pass that test Davie?
  23. Andy does open source. What year is your car? For me there were no advantages to going open source and for my year the EcuTek software offers launch control. The obvious down side to EcuTek is paying for a license, you can save on this by purchasing a licensed ECU and havin Andy recode the keys in to the new ECU. I was quoted 280 for open source with him. The same cost for EcuTek mapping if I supply him a licensed ECU.
  24. Is that dBA or peak? Do we know which the boys in blue apply? I'm thinking it should be dBA. According to noise at work regs you should have ear protection for over 85dBA...
