Cheers for the comments guys, need to ponder on the situation for a good while before making any harsh decisions!! My mum always said to me "If you dont know what to do, dont do anything at all" . Think thats a pretty good saying in all honesty.
Cheers, Just gonna wait and see how things pan out and hope that it doesnt come to the stage where i need to sell the car. That would be the ultimate kick in the stones
May have to sell the spec c!! Just had a ****ty break up with the missus and either need to sell the car to buy her out the house or sell the house!! At the moment Id rather sell the house and keep the car but that might just not be an option!! What do i do??
It took me ages to find a nice clean example of a spec c that was standard and not abused and after owning it for 2 years now it been by far the best driver's car I've driven!!
Lifes a bitch sometimes!!

The first one is nice but i do like the 2nd one too. Only problem with the 2nd on is that there is no mention about mapping etc when that would be one of the first topics to address on a modified car!
As far as im aware it is legal to have a smaller plate on the front of your car if it is an import and there is nowt the plod can do about it. Will try and find the regulation on it as i had it looked up when i was pulled for smaller plate.
Not exactly sure how you go about it. My mate had his insurance company write off his merc as they said the price of the repair costs were too high in comparison to the value of his car (think the car was worth about 8k and repairs were about 5k). He agreed to get the car written off and asked what will happen with the crashed merc. They gave him the option of keeping the crashed merc for a small fee (think about 600-800quid). In the end he repaired his merc himself and was left with a couple of grand in his hand. Just ask your insurance company what will happen to the car if they were to write it off. They should give you the option to hold on to the crashed car, if they dont just ask and tell them it has sentimental value to you or something. Just google "buying your car back from insurance" and you will get a lot of info on how to go about it. Hope this helps.

Roads on bute are now completely covered with snow as the gritter with the plow has decided to slide off the road into the ditch!! Makes the driving so much more fun now!! Just back in from an hour and half a tank of fuel "playing" in the snow. So much fun, only thing is now i need to get the ferry off the island tomorrow to get Super unleaded . Worth it all the same
Get the insurance company to write the car off, get the cash for the car from the insurance company to buy a new scoob and buy yours back from the insurance company for buttons. My mate did that and it ment he could break the crashed and make a few quid from it!!
Its taken my wee brother 2 and a half hours to get from livingstone to Glasgow and he is only half way down the road . Nothing worse than being stuck in traffic like that!!
4 hrs of snow on the isle of bute thisafternoon!! About 4 inches or so over the gritted and snow plowed roads!! Need to get out for a play in the car when the missus gets in from work
Cheers for the info guys. Had the police come to my door just there with my keys in their hand. A young boy found them on the street and handed them in. Thanks wee man you saved a lot of hastle for me and put a smile back on my face!! Its nice to know there are still some good people in the world. Its a shame they didnt know what the boys name was or where he stayed as i want to get him something to say thankyou!!
Hi folks, i have a bit of a problem. I have lost my car keys and dont have a spare set. I have a spare fob for the immobiliser but no key.
What do i do now? Is it possible to get a code off the ignition barrell and have a key made from that?
