About davedrift

  1. Cheers to folk for the comments..... I'm not expecting everyone to like this car as it's not like everything else you see driving around everyday...obviously some will like it some won't. Didn't think the old duffers would think much of it To be honest the car itself is falling to bits due to the juice killing it.....boot floor is bending up at each side where the rams come through the floor and the front spring seats are needing reinforced if i'm gonna keep driving it. I have some other rams that i wanna fit during the summer which will lock out the rear and allow it to move much quicker. Not sure if i wanna remove the shocks at the front though as it's soo good to drive right now and i would need to use accumulators if i do away with the shocks. Dave
  2. Picked this up at the end of last year It's a 1986 Mercedes 190E auto Been looking for one of these for a wee while now and this one came up at a rock bottom price. It's needing a bit of work but the bodywork looks in good nick and it's pretty solid undeneath. and of course the obligatory 3 wheelin shot Apologies for the crap pics....they were taken on my iphone ( says it all ) It's running a 2 pump juice setup with 6 inch rams on the front and 8 inch rams on the rear running at 24v. Lifts each side seperatly and can drop each corner independantly, although the pumps can be plumbed to lift front/rear but i'm not sure if i wanna change it yet. It's rollin on 14X7 wire wheels with centre knock-offs and 165/60/14 streched tyres so the handing is a little scary to say the least I did get it for a rock bottom price though...it was too good to pass up. I had a nightmare getting the car home after picking it up from Crewe which involved an 8 hour wait for a RAC flatbed after the exhaust fell off somewhere near Blackpool LOL. Fitted a new exhaust and manifold and it seems to be sweet so i spent the rest of the day rollin around listening to some jurassic 5 an hittin switches Some more better pics and a wee vid of some ass dragging http://www.motionbox.com/videos/7a96d1b41f1fe4c1f5 I know it's not everyones cup of tea and driving around in it you need to be preared for as many people laughing at you as there are laughing with you It's wicked though and drives pretty well considering it's a lowrider. i have some more plans for it over the summer so watch this space Dave
  3. Ha ha I actually have an old MOT in the history i got with the car that shows it's reg as W100 SUB. I'll fire you a PM in a mo as any info you have on the car would be good. Cheers to all for the warm welcome. I'll deffo get along to a meet sometime....I reckon i should bring the lowrider insead of the impreza though Dave
  4. Gus - Yeah picked it up from g-max in camelon. It was traded in there just before christmas and they were wanting a bit more for it than i wanted to pay but a bit of bartering later and i got it for a good price. Gimme a shout if you see me about Paul - I know sarefeet. I've seen him at a few drift days. I don't know him directly but he talks to guys i know from through glasgow way. Dave
  5. Hi to all Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm based near Falkirk....around 10 miles from falkirk to be exact. I'm sure the wagon i bought is from around my area too as i have seen the car before. It's i good condition but it could be doing with a good machine polish to get rid of any small scratches and swirl marks. I'm thinking about getting a nice P1 front splitter and leaving it black to match the skirts and rear spats. A more pressing issue is the clutch which could be doing with being replaced rather soon. The car has some mods which include Sti intercooler Sti front strut brace Ninja centre section and rear box K&N panel filter P1 suspension ?? ( not sure about this...aren't the wagons diffrent at the back from the saloon???) 18 inch alloys ( might be getting rid of these soon) I have to say i am really loving the impreza. Fantastic car to drive around in and the noise Ahhhhh the lowrider The guy i bvought it from built the whole car from scratch. The juice setup ( hydraulics) was brought over from america by the previous owner. It's running 2 black magic street spec pumps with 4 dump valves, which means it can lift each side and drop all 4 corners independantly. It's great fun and pretty good to drive as it still has the original shock fitted. These might be getting done away with during the summer as it will move a LOT better if the shock are binned. I'll get some better pics of it once the snow has gone as it's just been sitting doing nothing since it snowed. Dave
  6. Hello there everyone I'm dave Pleasure to meet you all. I've just became the owner of a 2000 Mica Red Classic Wagon with a few mods.it's my first impreza even although i'm at the ripe old age of 29 After driving my mate 95 WRX i had to have one. I have owned an Integra type-r for the past 6 years and although it was a fantastic car i am glad to have a bit of comfort and torque in my life now. As you can guess from my unsername i'm into drifting. I also own a 91 S13 200sx drift car ( that i didn't drive once last year ). Hopefully it should be back out playing by the summer. I also own a 1986 Mercedes 190E lowrider. I bought it for pennies at the end of the summer. The guy was practically giving it away so it would have been rude not to buy it. Plus it makes people laugh one way or another....You either love it or hate it Anyway enough talking sh*t from me. Here is a few pics of my new wagon. It would be great if anyone on here knows the car and could give me any info about it. Cheers Dave Impreza Lowrider
