  1. The difference is the number of pistons in the caliper mate. I think that is what you were asking?? And so the pads and discs will be different for 4 pots and 6 pots.
  2. I KNEW IT!! I thought that was my neck of the woods but didn't want to commit to it until you said it! I'm from Tighnabruaich, and that's actually where my Scooby is living just now at my parents, while I'm away at work. What were you doing down there? and more to the point what route did you take down there and back to Glasgow??? I can often be found at high speed on those roads!!
  3. Where is that photo taken? Looks cracking mate, nice one..
  4. I'm good thanks mate.. Thankfully only another week here then I'll be home again and back in the Scooby! can't wait.. there's not much makes a car feel more rapid than not driving it for 7 weeks! Unfortunately the already-limited driving skills suffer a bit as well! ach well can't have it all. Have a good one down south mate.
  5. Not me I'm afraid mate.... it's a bit of a commute from Brazil! Get the foo-kin-quik scooby fired up and you'll be down there in no time..
  6. welcome mate.
  7. What car do you have mate? Just wondering because you say the 3rd cat? Mine (Hawk STI) had main cat in downpipe, then cat in "cat" pipe, and then centre section with a bit of a silencer in it. So what one do you mean? I'd say from what you have said that you'll sail through MOT no problem..
  8. Nice one mate, welcome along.. Cracking looking car..
  9. All's well that ends well dude..
  10. That looks good mate. Different but good. What front splitter is that mate? Did you paint that as well as the bonnet?
  11. Alright Stoo, Is the engine turning over mate? If so, and you've given it a right good try (plus you can hear the pump running) then it might be a restriction like you mentioned. I watched mine be fitted but can't remember if there was a plug fitted. Don't think mine is a Walbro anyway. If I was you I'd phone somebody that has fitted hundreds and might be able to tell you in a few seconds what the problem is. Try Hypertech on 01324 812 212 and ask for Duncan. Good luck..
  12. Alright mate! Funny that.... I wrote you a reply to your other post and said you should hang off for a while and buy my car off me!! But my internet connection went down before I sent it, because I'm away at work... It will be going sometime mate but not 100% sure when yet. Don't worry though if you don't have anything by then you'll be the first to know. Thought I saw a few Spec-Cs on fleabay the other day? That white one was nice but a few missing details to say the least! Very little information for a supposed 400bhp + car. You'd be wanting to know straight away that it had forged internals etc. not to mention what turbo it was running. Sure there is plenty life in X444 yet.... you can hang off for mine!!!
  13. Funny I was looking at that very car earlier on! I could be wrong but I'm not sure there was an RA-R Blobeye. An RA yes, but not sure about the R. Looks a nice car mate, it's a late Blobeye as well, 55-plate. Suppose you would have to have a closer look because it doesn't go into much detail about the engine mods etc. in the description. Personally I would need much more information, other than just saying it's "built to Group-N spec".
  14. How about Ian Grieves, is that not where you bought the car from?
  15. Sorry to hear that mate! Couple of months ago I put two new RE0-70s on the back, the fronts still had a good bit of tread, but the car started feeling very understeery, even at quite low speed at junctions etc. Have since put them on the front and it's a lot better. I know some people say you should change all 4 at the same time on a 4wd.. but when they are wearing at different rates its becomes irrelevant anyway. Also in January this year I put the car in for it's 3-year service, and when I got it back it felt very strange and was oversteering a bit easier than it should have. To the point that I phoned the garage and queried what they had done. I even thought there was a problem with the diff, but it got better. They are strange machines at times! Hope you get it sorted soon mate..
  16. Stay on the A9 past Inverness and go all the way to Thurso. You won't regret it. Just make sure your brakes are in good nick!
  17. Andy Forrest runs the original TMIC on his Spec-C with about 470bhp/520lb/ft, so the newage TMIC seems to be quite capable. Sounds like quite a car you've bought though, nice one! What's the spec? is it still a 2.0 litre? UK or JDM?
  18. I'd say you'd be as well selling on here as anywhere mate. As long as you describe what you are selling properly so as not to rip somebody off. In fact probably better selling on here because people on here will know what they are looking at. If the Teins are able to be serviced/repaired then somebody might want them. It's up to you mate, but I don't think you'll get much for them if they are needing work.
  19. Lovely looking car. If you could bump him down a bit it could be a steal.. wonder how long ago he bought it for 7 grand?
  20. I take it you're still going to get it checked out? There are those that would discourage running for any length of time even with the Sportcat fitted before the car is mapped. Wullie from Meercat being one of them...
  21. What else do you have fitted just now?
  22. Nah mine is fine.. But I had it mapped soon after the downpipe was fitted. Am I right in saying yours isn't mapped yet?
  23. LOVELY car! But not sure it's worth £14k, but then again there's not many about so the seller can use that to his advantage. JoeG on here has a similar car, maybe he could give you a better idea what it's worth..
  24. The whole thing looks awesome!! Mind and tell us what figures you have after the mapping. Looking forward to seeing this car one day..
