ive just treated myself to a shiney set of subaru four pots, with mintex discs and pads. got them fairly cheap on the ebaaaaaay and was jsut wondering, how do u tell which side they go on? dont wanna be scrating my head when they turn up thanks guys in advance for you help.

whats wrong with oversteer? its the best! im always out playing in the lanes and the impreza is a brilliant car to drive on the throttle with the tail out. surely thats the point of having one?

hi guys, i was going to buy a 555 graphics kit, found one on ebay a few weeks ago for around £190 for the FULL 555 1995 kit but now ive been paid and gone back to find it it seems to have dissapeared? anyway, does any one know a good company i can get hold of a kit from?? also look to get a electronic boost controller, which one would u recomend and is there anyone offering these with a sidc members discount? or has anyone got one for sale??? thanks tim

although saxondales list it as 45 Pressure sensor –Pressure exchange solenoid valve is this what is also refered to the boost control soliod located on the suspension turret.?

afternoon fellas. and ladies. my 94 imprt wrx is limiting at between 4500 and 5000 rpm with a check enine light, in the fault mode its giving code 45, which reads as pressure sensor, i gave local garage a buzz and they said it the map sensor, (maifold air pressure) where is the located? ive got a spare car so im gonna try swapping them. also is there anything else that could be causing this to show as faulty, cant really afford to take it to a garage at the mo and im pretty handy with the spanners, but need to knwo wjhat im looking for. thanks

it will say on the engine, its cast into the block, look down onto the block to the left side of the alternater and its there cast into it

im sure you would be covered with your statuary rights, ive you buy something and its not fit for the purpose and within a reasnoble time your fully intiled to a refund, and with a light kit costing £250 or more im sure that less than 12months is a reasonable time for them to be fit for purpose, id mention to them that you know your statury rights, try it next time soem electriacl good break and the shop say to contact the manufacturer, because its the sellers responsabilty. and most companies will try and fob you off until you mention the statute and they realise you wont go away. hope that helps

thanks for that but i really would like to avoid the subaru garage, my 'local' one is 40 miles away and ive kind of fallen out with them, long story, prob 50/50 if i think about it properly and the next nearest one is over 50/60 miles. thanks and as as i have the spare car here and tryong to avoid much costs it a tight month lol

well ive never found speed to be dangerous, its normaly not stopping in time, or stoppin to qucikly (ie tree) that hurts people, thats what i think of the whole speed kills argument. prob opening a can of worms with that statment ha!

hi guys, always seems like im asking for quick advice, but thats the beauty of this forum, everyone is really helpful! im 1994 wrx jdm is hestitsing under load, like when accelerting up a steepish hill, ive cleaned the maf and cleaned though the boost control soliniod but sill does it but not all the time, so i put it in diagnostics mode and was getting four long flashes followed buy three quick ones, now i take this to mean error code 43 which relates to Accelerator Pedal Switch, i prsume that the is the little box screwed to the top of the pedal under the dash?? i am also in the lucky position to have a donor car of 95 reg also jdm spec wrx, going to try swapping the little blakc bos on the pedal tomorrow. is it just a cas of unscrewing it? far as i can see there is two grub screw holding it on? oh and a **** load of cable ties securing the wire from it up intil it meets the connection. after ive done this how do i reset the ecu s i know its not replaying the old fault code again if i still have problems or will it automaticly have gone? thanks guys tim

hi guys, just watched the coline mcrae rally legend dvd, and have become insipred, my wrx is due for a tidy up and am now considering haveing it done in blue and getting yellow 555 graphics, does anyone have the colour code for the 555 blue imprezas, the specail edishion ones early classics. thanks like this one

also worth checking the boost control soliniod on the strut, blast it though with some carb cleaner.
