About belly79

  1. Ta for all that info peeps, and for gettin back in touch so quick. I think i will take the advice and stay well away from them. Is it easy enough to do it at home by myself then? i have changed bearings before just not on a scooby. Ta for the replys anyway it is very much appreciated Andy(belly79)
  2. Hello all, i just need a bit of advice for my 99 reg turbo. I recently had the brakes changed all around only to be told that my rear wheel bearings needed replacing. This was not a problem as i would rather have my scooby running perfectly, whilst i was talking to the lad who discovered this he told me that to change the bearings he would have to replace the full axle and also that it was tricky due to the slip diff! On hearing this i became very unsure and just paid for the brakes, the only problem is i have been without my car for some weeks now..... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT or give me a cd a clue if it is as hard a job/expenssive as he says it is. Ta belly79 sorry its a long one!
