Finally The Limited Print Is Ready - Shop Is Open

Easy for me to say as I manged to get my order in, but it's nice to see you took the same route as prodrive/Subaru for limited editions.. They've always tried to make the right numebr of special edition Imprezas.. Checked out demand, and made a little less than demand.. That way they sell everyone yet there's still demand for more! This keeps the prices up as the market isn't flooded and makes them more special! Fortuantely as mentioned earlier there will be other versions of the poster (not limited admitedly) but at least everyone can have the opportinity to have something to remember the event by :waving-santa: . o O (I'm actually surprised there was as much as 555 available! Was expecting about 250 or something :santa: But I guess 555 is a nice round number ) P.s. There's no way in h*** mine will be appearing on eBay! -
You see! I KNEW he was still alive! :waving-santa:

Handy tool to have! Especially £49.99 for the small one! I use a Openport cable from tactrix - http://www.tactrix.com/ Plugs into your PC via USB and lets you do all sorts including read/clear trouble codes.. Imported to the Uk for around £80 or something.. (Free software available on the net.. that's Genuinely free!) Mapping software can even let you disable the warnings for those gastly Exhaust errors. To be honest, these devices are probably worth getting IMHO, or at least get someone you know to get one as they are handy when you need to use them!.. Especially at £50 how much would your local garage charge for a Diagnostic just because the Light is on? Note: Ive never used any of the RAC devices so can't comment but the idea of a pocket size Diagnostic device at that sort of price can't be sniffed at! Nice find Dale!

Thanks Imy! All sorted! FAO Andy - the checkout system doesn't like the ordering of the two different posters available.. Looks like it's due to the different delivery options for each type of poster... System doesn't like it on the combined order.. On Imy's suggestion, I placed 2 seperate orders.. Onc for each poster. Thanks, -

Yep there was one earlier in the year..Where THe Southerners met with the northerners and the easterners iin a central location in scotland for a mass meet of V-powered BBQ's http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=112099 Wasn't a full run like in 2007 as the format changed a little due to a coupel roads being closed and poeple wanting to try save money for the McRae Gathering.. so ended up bcoming a Huge SCottish SCoobies meet! Looking forward to next years one And yep as ross says we've got a run out into the proper Highlands next weekend!

I recently got myself a set of Hella 500FF's from the US.. WIll be making up my won brackets but not to dissimilar to what you have there.. As stewartyboy suggests for hte L/R adjustment I was just goign to add spacers/washers to the brakcet to pack it out.. SHouldn't need too much adjustment.. AS for wiring, I'm trying to wire them to the existing fog light switch, as I only want them to come on with full beaam AND the fog switch is on. But kinda stuck there as I ideally need to find the signal for the High-Beam relay, which isn't in the passenger footwell where it's supposed to be (according to the technical manual)! Infact when switching to high beam I don't hear any relay click from anywhere so gawd knows how it's wired!

Video is a bit jumpy in places so if you see it gettign repeated at any time lemme know and I'll see if it records smoother next time.. Meanwhile... I'm uploading this version just now and it should be available here in the not to distant future: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eB9eDi153gs After YouTube do their stuff...

I've taken the bonnet one off but kept the one on my rear window... I would use the mini sticker but it's for internal use only (ooh err!) and it won't work with the tinted windows Still got a couple spare unused stickers I was gonna - 1) keep and - 2) frame with a T-Shirt and momorabilia/photos... At somepoint...

YUp... But it has been for over a year now.. But at least it's progress.. A couple of the developers have got it working but it just need to be implemented properly in teh software so it doesn't balls up anyones ECU's in the progress Did offer to test it but got a reply saying it's not that far on yet.. that was a few months ago now... Did consider adding the launch control for a laugh but it was crude way of doing it IIRC so haven't bothered.. Plenty of potential with the opensource software as it's developed by programmers and enthusiasts.. But it means getting volunteers to help so progress varies.. More of a "when it's done" timescale.. I've got experience with Java but woudl still require a fair bit of learning to get to grips with what they are doing.. And Sadly I don't have the time..

RomRaider... (Formerly known as Enginuity) http://www.romraider.com/ Wouldn't mind a shot of the ECUTek stuff but the licence is WAY too expensive... COmpared to Free OpenSource anyway (Did say I was a cheapskate... )

I see the idea.. And in theory it coudl make a difference but only miniscule and of no use to anyone.. But most importantly.. We have an ait intake intoa filter then what? That is nothing. SO why put a moving part in there! Just think.. if one of the fins on the fan was to break (even get too hot a break).. then what? Thar right, it get's sucked down the intake onto the turbo rattle aroudn teh turbine for a whiel until it's shatters into small sharts, blasted throught he Interfooler at high speed into the engine and possibly out the other end.. I mean yeouch! Ok unlikely to happen but it could! I agree with all that's aid above. Wont have any real affect may even "restrict" airflow if the fan ins't powered.... There are better more appropriate and safer things to spend that sort of money on..! IMHO

The sat nav software I had running there also ahs a GPS logger, so you can log your routes.. Which coudl be kinda cool if our for a run and want ot find out where hell I really ended up! To try answer a coupel other questions. Yeah by the looks of things that package is XP based so in theory you coudl do whatever you wanted with it. Details are a we bit sketchy as to ports etc. so dunno if you can ad keyboards and stuff do it.. (Possibly Bluetooth actually) Some versions used to use Lunux for speed but with cutdown versions of XP on the go it's not really worth it given most software is XP based.. Ports wise, most things run off USB and if there isn't enough I was goign to add some ports into the center console where one of hte blanked off switches usually are.. infact was considering putting the power switch for it there somewhere.. AS for hte price tag.. I'm just a cheapskate and don't like paying for stuff I can do myself! (assuming I can do a reasonably decent job of it) I don't think I'd ever pay £750+ for such a device TBH...but that's me... Can't remember the exact spec of ITX system I have but I think it was aroudna 850Mhz process with onyl 128MB of RAM so it's clear the bottle neck is the ram.. Was goignt o boost it up to at least 1GB once I get somethign working and see if it's enough.. Not sure if the newwer high quality videos would play properly on jus the 850Mhz.. Might be a bit tight, but we'll see.. There are quite a few ECU monitoring apps out there, but not many actually give you a decent enough view that woudl look good on such a small screen.. I think I did pay somethign like £10 for hte STISCan (a.k.a. evoscan) software after months of searching for somethign suitable. It let's you create your own style of gauges and can quite neatly be run from the main interface.. (RoadRunner incase anyone's interested) If I ever get somethign up and running properly it will onyl get added to and maybe do away with the normal head-unit and put in a proper fixed 2din screen.. WE'll see.. early days... FYI - Screenshot of one of the sample gauges from STiScan: ALmost Skyline GTR style! (Need to Find a G-Meter ) More examples on this page.
