  1. I guess there wasn't any big ones left so you settled for those!
  2. I work we 'em, my sentiments exactly. LOL!
  3. I can't say for sure, but the oriental writing on the side of the car looks to me like "eff the polis". Not very good that! []
  4. Wow, what a transformation a few choice mods make. For me, lowering and a high-level spoiler is a must. As said, the new boots will finish it of rather nicely. Looks great.
  5. Yeah, see your point. But everytime I have been pulled with the cops for speeding I got ticketed. I was lucky last time in that the PF never pursued it. First points I ever got was 12 years ago on my wedding day. Heading up the road to get ready, was a bit absent minded and drove through a red light pedestrian crossing at about 20mph. I was spotted by two beat cops and they gave chase on foot! I thought, ach well they will have my plate, might as well stop. So I pulled over and waited for the two cops to catch me me up, further up the road. One was an older guy with his sargeant stripes and the other guy had his book out. He was ready to go off on one and I said look, that's why I stopped to acknowledge my mistake. He then instructed his colleague to book me, I said, "Look man, its my wedding day, I got a litle absent minded we all do it. No harm done, can we then not apply the spirit of the law rather than the letter of the law?" The other guy softened, his hand relaxed, the pen moved off the page and his arms were on their way down to his sides. The Sarge's response was, "DO HIM Alex!" And so he did! 3 points £30 fine and a TS30 endorsement! Jobsworth prat! but hey, I still love the cops man, just not him!
  6. I just got to thinking... I have been against speed cameras for all the reasons stated (and agree with their installation also based on reasons stated), however, don't you think its easier to avoid getting caught by a camera than a cop (I don't mean driving around like a maniac, but we all go over from time to time)? They are easily seen, and any number of gadgets like Road Angel can spot them for us. Cops with hi-tech laser guns etc. means you have no chance! More cops = more chance of getting caught = more points / more cameras = less cops = less chance of getting caught = fewer points. So what if they are revenue makers, is that such a bad thing? Just a thought, once I chew it over I might change my mind! J
  7. Yip, sounds about right. Wouldn't trust them with a dud match.
  8. Nice, but still waiting on the Avatar picture to reveal the reason behind your forum name. Is it, that you are one? A messenger from God?
  9. Yeah a few people do it, and its defo a good idea. I just have my last name Welsh though (and Scotland flag), but making the connection to "TheWelsho" should be a no brainer.
  10. Ahhhhhhh, MR.Welsh the day the newage becomes known as the "classic" of imprezas or has any serious affect in the WRC (which it wont cause its so gash they are about to change it lol) i will agree with you [] .untill then . the classic has been the best version of the impreza to date, classics RULE!! [H][] See, what you said was ^ ^ but I what I heard was "blah blah blah blah"!
  11. Not at all. I was referring to the fact that Grant now owned a Subaru as opposed to a Celica! See, you got me all wrong man! But for the record, the NewAge is a realer deal than the old counterpart. []
  12. And the wheels, tyres, suspension, front splitter and paint job! Oh, but gotta add a big spoiler.
  13. LOL! You're such slag! Angel, two things: enjoy the car and don't dwell on the costs! Oh, and welcome along.
  14. Seems a bit strong to me to be permanently removed from duty. He's been made a scapegoat in a face-saving exercise seeing that the cops are getting a bit of a time of it at the moment from disgruntled motorists. And what is all this about appearing in court for going over the limit by 8mph? And he still got points and a fine when he was thought to be on ligitimate police duty. Am I reading that right!?
  15. Very nice indeedy! Much was the wheel and tyre package if you dinnae mind my askin? J
  16. Droooool! Great pics. Couldn't have resisted jumping into the cockpit of the F1 car! Fantastic man.
  17. There are so many other variables to consider, that making assumptions regarding your slide, is only that, assumption. I can tell you however that my first time at Knockhill was pretty hairy given that the track was very wet and I did experience the back end coming around on me on more than one occassion! That, and I had droplinks, Tein springs fitted with Prodrive geometry settings, so the back end coming round on you (im my experince) is still a possiblity, but defo less than one with rear well drive cars. Also, the aforementioned measures will make a night and day difference to the handling and driving experience of your Subaru (I'd say they are a must!). On the open road, when I have been pushing it on fast bends in the wet (or dey), the tendency is to feel a slight sideways slide. On returning to KH in the dry I had only one hairy moment with the backend coming round again, and I have no idea what casued it! Probably my own crap driving. I now have an ALK fitted and will test that on the 26th at KH. As far as changing droplinks, I belive that this is benificial in all ages of cars as the std ones are crappy poly-material that has way more flex that the metal Whiteline ones.
