  1. Yes I agree to that, but 5 minutes down the road and it needs done again!
  2. Actually, between you and me, I did it on purpose so that I could have a good excuse to not come along... just dinna tell onobidy!
  3. Marty, Imy... Thank you! I might actually get them all done, let's see what the missus says. Thanks for all other commets too, wasn't so much my bad luck, jsut my stupidity. John
  4. I think you just convinced yourself mate... and yes, big spoiler.
  5. Second that: He's done my springs, droplinks, ALK and geometry. Now its on rails.
  6. I wouldn't buy it anyway, I dunno what's next... Given my age, it will likely be something more rational, like a Merc. Performace cars no more []
  7. Hmmm, not as bad as I had thought, but still not what I'd have expected. I have to say, it looks more like a Touring car that it does a rally car. That silly little spolier would have to go and I don't like it in silver much either.
  8. Yeah. I took it into the tyre-fitter and he said it should be ok that it was only the kerb thingy bit that has come away. Then he made fun of me for driving about on Khumo tyres. I think he just wanted to off-load a whole new set of quality tyres to me. Forget it!
  9. Had a blonde moment and smacked a kerb in town today, pi55ed at myself for being such a careless a55. Anyhoo, Glesga area, any recommendations for a repair place. 10. Stunning. I don't think gold is the best colour of wheels on a silver (crystal grey) car, but those wheels realy compliement the body colour well. Very nice.
  11. You can't come on here and say that and NOT show us pics! So get on with it man! Pics please.
  12. Try here mate http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=313401 A lot of the picturelinks are no longer active, but there are pages and pages of yellow Scoobies, maybe you can find something in there.
  13. Paul, I went from 17's 45 to 18s 40 and the rolling radius changed slightly. The gap in the arch was slightly less than before, when I got it lowered on the Tiens it was fine. I know the rolling radius changed because before the change, there was a difference of 5mph between my speedo and my Road Angel. After the change, there is 1mph to 0 difference. Works fine for me though.
  14. OMFG john thats sacrilage!! [:|][:|] how can you say that about the classic impreza, so far they have (and always will be) the pick of the bunch, aye like ya said you should maybe not go to a few meets in the near future for fear of being either hung, drawn or quartered, or all of them [][] The same way you said it about the Hawkeye! [] But I think you're right, I might take a rain check from tomorrow night's meet. [li]EEK!
  15. That's what I think, win-win situation. I would take off the pink STi stickers from the spot covers at all costs though. Those wheels and a complete debadge = stealth bomber; Oh baby!
  16. A LOT![] AMEN to that GUS and STRIPE!! look after yer classics folks, looks like they were a one off by subaru cause they have made an ar$e of every thing since! Woah! That's a bit harsh! Classics, unless they have extensive exterior modifications, IMO are rather plain looking in my view. The Bugeye does have an ugly face, the blobeye is a huge improvment and the hawkeye... by far the best looking of the bunch! Classic Shmassic, I just don't see it, sorry and I would never drive one as my everyday car. I'll probably be hanged at the next meet for my damning condemnation of a truly-loved driving legacy, but as is stands, "Classic" is just another word for "old". [][]
  17. Jeezo man! No half measures there is there? Taking on the track?
  18. Cool! Howz the old classic going? Still lovin it or missing the Newage?
  19. Got the ALK fitted and braided hoses all round plus re-alignment to top it all off. Can't really say what the ALK has done till I put the car on the track, but I have to say that it really does feel more planted while cornering. Taking decently sharp bends at 50+mph (with room for more) and not a sniff of understeer, and there appears to be a sharper response to the steering. Point the car in with progressive increase on the throttle and it just follows the bend round rather nicely - well pleased. Thanks Dunc and co. Looking forward to the 26th May & KH. Yeee haaa!
  20. same here, 10 years no claims and im one of them old farts as well [] im also a member of this club []# iain Me anaw, but I'm, still paying a grand!
  21. The very STUNNING Stealth Bomber. Looks fantastic and I'm pretty sure it drives better than it looks. Enjoy it mate.
