Nothign striking, is it? The Impreza generally isn't a pretty car, but it has a presence that even the un-initiated will take note of, even if the can't explain it's attraction. The latest offering, if official is bland to say the least. The cockpit looks better, especially with some controls on the steering wheel, but that wouldn't be enough to make me buy it.

Does a remap mean that you have to switch to V Power or other higher octane fuel? Or can the remap still work with 95 RON?

Just called Hypertech and booked in for Monday for ALK and braided hoses. I figured that I'd uprate the pads and disks when the old ones are shot, no point in spending money on replacing stuff that still has life in it. Wouldn't mind a set of proper wheels myself to be honest as I'm not mad-keen on the replicas that I got. I mean, they are ok and they look much better than the standard wheels, but still... Likewise, have a list of stuff that I want to do as well, but I'm moving hoose in a few weeks to a double mortgage, so other stuff will have to wait. Just do a bit at a time. Duncan was telling me that the ALK is one of the better mods that can be done for the car, so I'm looking forward to testing it out at the next KH track day. Totally hooked on that now!

Geo: Cheers mate, that's quite an explanation! Do you supply and fit the goods and do the geometry as well? Peter: I got the geometry done at Hypertech when I got my Teins fitted, so I can't mind much it cost, probably not that much.

Yeah, the extra amount comes to about the cost of 4 tanks of petrol per year. Wouldn't give up my Scoob for that muppet

Sorry to be an ignoramous, but what is involved with the ALK? Does it make that much of a difference? I already have the alignment done after getting Teins and droplinks fitted, so if i fit the ALK bits, does this mean the alignment needs redone? Cheers!

Stephen shoud be ok for Band F I think as his car is pre 23/3/06. I gave Halley's a call today and they said I'm in F, cause my car was registered before 23/03/07. I pointed out to him that the threshhold was 06 and not 07. He said, hmmmmm and I then I told him I had a £190 (F) tax disc and not £210 (G) and he said hmmmmm some more. I'm going with G anything else is a bonus.
