Yeah that's normal. I guess it's jsut to give you the ability to stick on on the glass (inside) and one on the paintwork (outside). Though I have no idea why anyone would want to put any kind of stickers on the paintwork. []

Alan. I don't have an STi just a WRX. I used the Parker's calculator and it put me in the F Band at £190 which is what my tax is now. However, my WRX was registered AFTER the 23 / 3 / 06, which means I'm a Band G, also my g/km emmissions is 244 which is well over the Band G threshhold of 225. So I'm still totally confused. [:S] Anyone shed light on this?

Well, yes and no. No one is staying the same in terms of costs, but no cars are changing bands. I think if you are in F you will avoid the £400 hammer, but you will still have the other rises next time you buy your RT, which is about £20 or something.

Of course, yes, it is misleading over all. But for me, its a real saving. Just means that pooer people are funding what I save; not that that is a good thing.

Yeah, it's an outrage, it really is. With an 06 car registered after April 06, I am in top Band G. Can't belive it man. On the plus side though, a 2p cut on the basic rate of income tax will mean a saving of several hundred pounds in the year.

Besides, it adds to the character of the car, that was the reason why I bought the private plate. I was looking at a post on here of a photographer who has his own website and his banner image is my car!!!!Also, Neil, don't let that put you off, all you have to do is cover your plates up, good old duct tape!
