  1. Aye, nice to meet you Colin. The run was as blast, shame Marky ts couldn't hang around for the drive, I thnk he said somethign about having to go and mend his tights or something...
  2. Congrats... all the best. hope it goes well.
  3. Gus Any smaller ones, or anything else that is suitable to put on my track-helmet? J
  4. Jeezo! Shoud have left it 50/50 then the imapce woudlhave been more apparent. Great job!
  5. LOL! To be fair, I did say I liked the Classic with styling mods; wheels and a big spoiler at least!
  6. LOL! Looks like you Classic boys are going to have to switch to the NewAge after all huh? Hahaha! over my dead body!! [][] think i would go for the hatch back first!! [] Yeah right you would!
  7. Great pics. Lovin the silver classic with the big spoiler and the carbon (I thnk) bonnet. Yes, yes ok I said it, right! I said somethign nice about a Classic.
  8. Yeah, seems to be dying out I guess. I wave to all Scoobs (even Classics) and get little in return. Funnily enough, I get more nods from bikers!
  9. cheers Not got it yet [] Only 4 days to go till I get it [] Stunning motor. I never really could see past blue for the Impreza and the white variety was the first other colour to turn my head (Mako's old car). I pretty much liek all the colours now.
  10. Welcome mate. I don't think I have seen wheels that shiny on a car that age before. Looks lovely. Bandit, take note!
  11. That looks alot better Oh yes that does look good! So much so I went and ordered it from Scott Lowe. They are offering a £35 discount so I thought I get that instead. Thanks again for the help folks. []
  12. Welsho .................. ................. [^o)] .................... [au] ......................... Mon the classics [<)] Nice one. [*] I have a plan! I can't remember who it was, but one of our SIDC boys was hit with the Band G road tax casue his Classic was re-registered after teh 23rd of March 06. I guess his car must have been around 10 years old but made to pay the full whack. So, what if you Classic boys re-registered your cars! Big road tax hit... BUT you get to keep your pride and joy! []
  13. LOL been there done that not going back (or forward[]) Classics rule end of[] Not at the end of the 10 years by the looks of it! [] I signed the thing, but there was no details... anyway, I doubt that this will ever happen!
  14. LOL! Looks like you Classic boys are going to have to switch to the NewAge after all huh? Hahaha!
  15. Thanks for the opinion folks. The cheaper price of the Revolution one is what got my attention, though I would prefer the Scott Lowe one or the real deal from Subaru. If Scooby222 recomends it, then I spose I will go for it. Right, just to convince the missus!
  16. Front splitter from Revolution: http://www.revolution.eu.com/erol.html#38366x0&&
  17. Agree with that, but still seems to me to be a step backward in the looks department. Actually, when you look at a standard Impreza and compare it to the WRX version alone, its chalk and cheese, so maybe just maybe, the new Impreza like the old one; poor in its non-WRX format, will look much better and acceptable to all in its full WRX/STi trim. Not holding my breath though and as Stephen said, "speculation".
  18. Don't check = too much money!
  19. I thought they might have been a bit cheaper than APs, but the one supplier that I looked at, had them at roughly the same price I think.
  20. Sounds about right. MY06 3rd Cat delete, de-resonated centre and Prodrive backbox, just over 21MPG. As Craig says 9-10 on track ouch! I did get 24.74 one week, but this was because I covered a lot of distance driving at moderate speeds (wife in the car throwing up in to a polly back as I negotiated the twisties!).
  21. Printing this off now John, Thanks. Motor is in Hypertech on Monday with a corner to corner wheel change and group 'N' alignment on Gus the Bus's advice. Both front tyres showing serious outside wear (after 8500 miles) Probably 'cos Gus gave it big licks for the camera a few weeks back ! Wear and tear probably down to him - wait till I get me mitts on him... Dead chassis is 'the bus' Alan. Outside wear... hmmm. The Prodrive setting adjust the camber of the front wheels so that the upper-edge of the wheel is tilted in (negative camber). This will balance out your tyre wear as the inside edges make more contact with the road caused by the negative camber. On thing though, you might not be able to get those settings exactly as those were done after having the ALK fitted. I am sure I read somewhere that the ALK allows greater levels of neg camber, therefore better front grip which takes care of understeer (it does!). However, I'm pretty sure you should get something very close to it. Mind you, I'm assuming that you don't have the ALK fitted and of course I could be wrong! Let me know how it goes mate.
