  1. Nice to have a volunteer to take over from Dale, the RO's forum is a lot suggestions for the future of the club.
  2. Friday 10th December 3pm will be the last time for tickets via Paypal, as I won't be back online after that before the meet.
  3. The thread was locked to stop any more silly in-fighting, we don't need this if we want to re-build the club. As for locked threads the Committee has lock threads in the past.
  4. I think this topic has gone on long enough, this could drag on and on. I'm going to lock the this so we have no more disagreements, fallouts, apologise, kissing and making up. Lets move on and all work together as one big happy Subaru Community.
  5. Things are in hand, we will be addressing fees, member packs and benefits. Also the club if for members they should know how it is being run and what the money is spent on. Well said Wilky, once we know where we're going we can look at trying to get other clubs affiliated with SIDC.
  6. The charity run to Yorkhill Childrens Hosital will be taking place, see Scottish Scoobies events section for full details and times which will be posted soon. :waving-santa:
  7. Meeting has been posponed for a week due to the heavy snow, hopefully it will be better by the 9th. Usual Glasgow/Strathclyde Meet at the Harvester, Hillington 7.00 for 7.30. Last meet before Santa Cruise, Raffle tickets and hopefully car stickers will be available also looking for volunteers for the shopping trips. Full post in Scottish Scoobies events section.
  8. Splitting SIDC wouldn't benefit anyone, we have a great club and forum and the future is to build on that. As for the Scooby Ball the first Scottish one was held this year and it was a great success, hopefully we can revive interest in the club and will be able to host the southern Scooby Ball again. I don't see a reason why SIDC would stop attending events like Japfest or Rallyday, each region will still have the same equipment they had before if not more. Promoting the club as much as possible can only benefit the club so it wouldn't be in the clubs interest not to attend.
  9. Have to agree Stu, Phil has done an outstanding jobs over the years. Thanks for all the hard work. What he doesn't know is in volunteering for Events Organiser is we're expecting him to have the high heels and mini skirt on for all the shows and pose provocatively on the bonnet for photos.
  10. Sorry you feel like that Karyn and need to post on the open forum, the simple fact is the majority of committee positions were taken by Scottish members was due to the lack of volunteers from England & Wales. The most active section is Scotland, based on Andy's figures. As for shows and events I will be fully supporting Phil and JohnS to continue SIDC's attending as many shows as possible. Once we know the financial standing of the club we will be looking at improving stands and equipment and budgeting for replacing equipment once it passed it's best. I'm sure Dale and Glyn are well aware of the amount of work they are taking on with the role of Membership Secretary as was discussed on the RO's Forum, they are of the opinion that between them they can make the role work. On the committee voting one member one vote will be the rule. The new committee members aim to build on the reputation SIDC has and make it a bigger and better club.
  11. What the hell was I think, I must be mad. Well that's it offical I'm now the Chairman and can moderate you as I see fit. Dunk is right although we have 700 odd members we have very few active. Membership wise Karyn was getting 30-40 per month, there are lifetime members that account for the rest. Certainly the Scottish RO's have some good ideas for the club. We will be working hard to get a better understanding of the current position the club is in and seeing what we can implement to make it better. We will all be working hard over the coming months and will be updating members on any news.
  12. Thanks for the welcome Stu, obviously with lots of new committee members it will take a bit to find our feet but we will be working hard to make the club bigger and better.

  14. Most people move to coilovers as there is no real alternatives to KYB's. Have a look at BC coilovers, there is also AP (not the brake people) and V-maxx all about the same price but not heard much about these. Bit more expensive are Tein (although a few have had issues with these), Eibach and KW Variant 1 Then there are the real expensive Ohlins and Exe-tc. Alot of people are using the BC's. Hypertech can supply and fit and do a geo setup or shop around, fit them yourself and get a geo to save a bit more. Robert
  15. Up for next year, as long as that strange bloke wearing the tights isn't going.
  16. You can borrow mine and see if it fits. I'll bring it to the next Glasgow meet.
  17. So would you recommend a winter oil change, if so what grade of oil? Just thinking back to last year Scotland saw below -10 quite often. Robert
  18. Good advice mine read 82,700 when I was imported, it's now around 90,000 so I'm actually only at 59,000 miles. My speedo converter fits to the the back of the speedo, dead easy to fit and the sticker came with the converter.
  19. The annual charity meal host by Kwang Tung Chinese Restuarant and owner FAI17 (Peter) as part of our fund raising for Santa Cruise 2010. See Scottish Section for details. As part of the night we are holding a raffle tickets only £1 and some good prizes.
  20. Your right a White STI, I think it looks good with the wheels. Remember RB wheels are hard to get so are worth a bit might be better to sell them and get a set of white wheels. If you need a loan of wheels I have a spare set of gold 17" with good tyres if you need.
  21. Didn't see any but one noise barsteward tried to wake everyone up at 2 in the morning, fortunately the bar was fairly sound-proof so it didn't disturb our drinking.
