  1. Hi and welcome to the forum. We apologise for Dave and his shirts, we have tried to distance ourselves from him but he keeps coming back. Hope to see you at a show or meet soon.
  2. Two trackdays or one early bird special and that the fee paids for itself. Unfortunately I renewed in September at £30 so will need to do another trackday to cover mine, it's a hard life.
  3. I started out in a sport and trawelled the internet to see what I could do. My mods were a turbo exhaust(modified to fit), air filter, some suspension tweaks and a set of WRX wheels. Also ran it on V-Power and boost to get the most out it. The amount you spend to get more power, but then you need brakes, etc. your easier getting turbo.
  4. Hi and welcome to the forum. Remember to post up some pictures of your scooby and don't be afraid to ask question we were all new once.
  5. Great day out and like the pictures. Really enjoyed myself and was a good start to show seasons.
  6. Xcceleration use to do a 900/1000bhp engine from what I remember, don't seem to offer it now but you might get a few ideas from their site. http://www.xcceleration.com/index.htm
  7. Does anyone know how much more are they charging for the extra 20ps and R badge. Like the car just not the price.
  8. Hello and welcome to the forum. Nice looking car. Glasgow meets are the 1st Thursday of the month and tomorrow's is the first run of the year now we have lighter nights. Check the events section for meets, shows and trackdays.
  9. All that time and effort and you only get 12's, should be running at least 10's if not quicker.
  10. Glasgow/Strathclyde Meet first of the runs for this year usual meeting place The Harvester at Hillington 7.00pm for 7.30pm departure.
  11. Great road, drove this on the Borders Run couple of years back, agree with reducing it near houses and businesses but 50mph for the length of it would be a nightmare. Also how many pay attention to the 60mph limit just now.
  12. Haven't used Stonelaw in ages as they never had any V-Power.
  13. Best tyres I've had are the Goodyears F1's both the old style and new asymetric. I have Dunlop SP01's (came with the new wheels) on the car just now hard wearing have done 14k on them and still good life left in them, the only downside is I don't think they grip as well in cold or wet conditions.
  14. We all sold up and bought Evo's. Congratulations, enjoy the early years they grow up really quick.
  15. Can you get tyres repaired after using the foam, guy in my work bought a spare wheel for his honda as he said you need a new tyre and can each time.
  16. Think you tried your best and given plenty oppurtunity for Stewart to respond and square you.
  17. McTears in Glasgow has some Motorsport Memorabilia up for auction. http://www.mctears.co.uk/auctions/browse.aspx?id=a9c2082b-b2f6-41f3-a914-494fc02c6d05 Some nice pieces but think I'll go for Lots 1150 & 1151 (some easter eggs for the kids)
  18. Don't say classic Gus you start an agruement about which is best.
  19. The thread will not be locked or delete as it just leads to more arguements and as Mystery Machine says some valid opinions and points have been made. To clarify a mistake was made and not notice - apologies made, no PM was deleted - the system seems to have glitches, apologise received from the majority - it would be nice it everyone did and we could all move on. Now feel free to carry on debating.
  20. Neil if nobody paid we wouldn't have a forum to fight on. As for the announcement it was an oversight the mistake was made but not noticed. I can only apologise on behalf of the committee and admin. Now go and do some more overtime so you can pay for a membership to sell stuff.
  21. A full set of account will given at the AGM by our new Treasurer/Book Keeper.
  22. This was a discussion the RO's had almost a year ago and it was knocked on the head as it was felt it better to fight for SIDC and turn the club around, hence the reason I am now Chairman.
  23. Is this thread really benefiting the club? We have to listen to our paying members are they are the ones that make this place possible, if they call for change then we have to listen. We are never going to please everyone but hopefully we will please the majority. A mistake was made on the For Sale section as Gus has apologised for already mistakes do happen. Neil you said in the past that you weren't renewing because you didn't get a benefit from paying now we change the forum to benefit our paying members we get slated. You keep saying you aren't interested in the discounts, trackdays or shows so what benefit would you like to see the club offer that would make it worth paying. As for the PM mods, admin and the committee can't access these so don't blame us. I will find out if or why the PM was delete and see if it the reason was valid. Be assure we are putting in a lot of time and hardwork to make the club better. Now play nice or I want my centre section back.
  24. Hi and welcome Kenny, if you at the next SIDC day I come and say hello.
  25. Enjoy the new car Billy. John, the Mini's no slouch and for a thrill he's got the RS.
