  1. Yes, would definitely have notice the Spec C.
  2. Have a look here to give you an idea of possible mods. http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/index2.html Before going down the modding route it would be worth getting the car checked over by a garage make sure everything is alright. Also as a car gets old it loses horsepower so getting it on the rollers to get a benchmark of where the car is at present. Hypertech solved a couple of issues I had, which could have been costly.
  3. I have BC's on my V3 STI Type R no complaints, get the adjustment extenders saves removing the backseat when fine tuning your damping.
  4. I do know of a lad years ago who's parents bought him an XJS Jag for his 17th paid £12,500 TPF&T, in 5 weeks he'd written the thing off. Best bit was after it his dad asked him what car he would like next.
  5. Just got a quote for my wife's car, nothing has changed in a year and they want £200 more. Did online quotes to check and cheapest is still £150 more than last year. Think it's time to phone about and play them off each other and get the price down.
  6. Some good pics there, car looks minted.
  7. If you want get any tips for an original car have a look at Gus's one of the best V1 RA's around. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/garage/vehicle/198-subaru-type-r/page__tab__images
  8. I'm about £450-500 a month for fuel , luck the company pay's it. Thanks to the way Mr Taxman works things out it only costs me £100 extra in tax a month for all my personnal mileage.
  9. A sensor would be more than likely be lack of power rather than drive, the lack of acceleration as Al says would indicate the clutch.
  10. Had clutch judder on my Sport and the STI, common problem when the clutch is near the end of it's life. If your changing the clutch it's also worth getting the flywheel checked at the same time. Have heard of people trying to clear the judder by doing a launch a 5k revs but not sure if it works, probably just kill the clutch a bit more.
  11. Unfortunely Craig is right, turbos and sports are very different.
  12. 23rd March 2006 is the cut-off date, unfortunely mine was register 31st March 2006. Annoying thing is they brought in the rules after I bought mine.
  13. The Mods will be after you for that statement.
  14. Hi and welcome, loads of info if you have a search but if you can find what you need just ask.

  16. Hi and welcome, nice looking car.
  17. Hi and welcome, post up some pics of the car. Glasgow meets are 1st Thursday of the month, next one is June which is the annual BBQ.
  18. Good choice Kim, enjoy. Completely different drive to a classic.
  19. Looking good, with my BC's I started at soft and set them all at about 10 clicks then took it for a drive to see how it felt. Just kept going out until I was happy with the feel. BC on the classic are set up in the 20's but that's for track use.
  20. Paul, I got caught out with this last month when I answered a topic, posted .net but came up .co.uk. We'll get it switched off. As for the deleted post don't know why it was deleted, a message should have been sent to let you know why. I'll do a bit of digging and let you know. Sorry for the hassle.
  21. Sorry to hear your selling up, hopefully you'll be back in the future.
  22. Sad news. Thoughts go out to all his family.
