  1. I'm stuck as I have a Shell company fuel card, having to run unleaded and booster. Suppose I shouldn't complain use my car everyday and only pay about £60 tax for my personal fuel a month.
  2. Aren't 225's to big for a classic, think they rub.
  3. Hypertech were £306 for fitting the 6-speed on my newage.
  4. Contacted Shell yesterday and got this response. Thank you for your enquiry. Due to unforeseeable circumstances, we are currently experiencing a temporary disruption in the supply of Shell V-Power gasoline. We are doing all we can to resume supply of Shell V-Power gasoline, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you require any further information or assistance do not hesitate to contact us on the numbers given above/below. Regards, Imee Goico Shell Customer Service Centre
  5. New set on the Merc last year just noticed on Sunday they've started to corrode again, still under warranty so fingers crossed. Best alloys I've had are the ones on the newage over 3 years before they showed signs of bubbling and even now aren't that bad.
  6. 27th March (Satuday), Knockhill, 2-5, Private Session (Max 20 cars), Contact Peter at PTaddei@Yaskawa.co.uk
  7. Do all the numbers tie up with the V5?
  8. Glasgow/Strathclyde Meet, Harvester at Hillington, 7 for 7.30pm first of the 2010 Glasgow Runs.
  9. Have one on the R and great noise when on the back roads and circuit. From what I remember Bailey aren't rated also depends on how loud you want.
  10. My converter plugs into the back of the speedo and the cable plugs in to that, usually about £50 on ebay.
  11. Don't use the NOS and give them a chance.
  12. My mate at work has a modded ST (custom map 307bhp/367lbs) and swears my Type R is still quicker. He upgraded to an RS clutch which has made a difference, I think we'd be quite closes as long as he could get then power down. What about an ST v lightly modded classic day?
  13. Car is minted Joe, hope you don't have to sell it. What do you love more the car or house?
  14. Just been having a search for tyres and found this site. http://www.futuremotorsports.com/listItems...0151552867a9b7e Seems bloodly good prices. Just noticed you have to add VAT.
  15. I'm on google maps on the scaffold at the front of my house fitting my gutters, I remember the car coming down and the brickies said we should all wave but was gone before we could. My Scoobies are also on but not bothered and the image is 18 months old.
  16. Dunc is getting silly prices from Exedy for clutches my 6 speed was going to be £345+VAT, Justclutch on ebay was £267.50 delivered for an Exedy, used them before and they were good. Hypertech said I'd be stupid not to buy at that price and they will still fit it. Also Imported Car Parts seem to be good prices. Robert
  17. Well I had a great day Mercedes 9, BMW's 0, best time 14.611 and 97.2mph, even better I work with my mate Grant so now the whole work can slag him. Good to catch up with everyone, my kids had a ball and I should thank Mandy for letting me abuse her car.
  18. Your the 4th person I've heard being done this week, seemingly they have stopped loads of cars in Glasgow. Maybe the government are paying the national debt with motoring fines.
  19. 1. Braveheart (aka Chris) 2. STI Pretender but not in a Scooby (Bringing the Mandy and the kids, well it is her car ) 3. Spectating 1. Are we meeting a McD's again about 8?
  20. 2 year warranty is appealling, was it V1's you had?
  21. I thought Tein were meant to be one of the best. Suppose Eibach or Bilstein won't take as long if something happens. I'm getting feed up with my KYB's 9 months since I overhauled them and I now have play in then and started to knock. Considering Eibach coilovers now I hear Tein have problems.
  22. A classic. If your spending £600/month you'd be cheaper buying a runaround and keeping the JW for a weekend car.
  23. That will be the price of a full forged engine I was half the price using a 2nd hand block, it's just trying to find a decent one. Best getting one from someone getting a big build as scrappies and ebay you could be buying a dog. I was fortunate and got Braveheart's original block. If you do sell and buy another in the future remember don't rush in to buying a scooby there are a lots that are sold with issues and problem like you have found out. If you need advice the forum is always here to ask question or post up potential cars.
  24. Thanks Baz, Had thought that might be the case. If I find a good method of blanking I'll post up.
  25. Type R won't be ready and Newage the clutch is slipping. So what to do..... Bringing Mandy's Merc C280 and may mate is heading up in his girlfriend BMW 330Ci so we are having a battle of the Germans. Wouldn't mind a pax in a scooby just to get my flat4 fix.
